Nice trainer for the price...
Very nice for the price! Out of the box it was a little stiff & way slow, more so on the bite handle side. After a drop of oil & about 10 minutes of flipping however and it's nice and smooth now. (Flipping it without the oil may have accomplisdhed the same thing but I used it since I had some.) It's got some weight, but if this is for a beginner the weight will help speed up the learning process. Seems well made and my latch is super stiff so it doesn't flop open. There are benefits to learning on an actual knife, but a trainer is the only safe way for a beginner, especially if it is for someone younger. You could even run something like pool chalk or lipstick down the edge of what would be the sharp side of the blade if you want a visual example of how many cuts a trainer saved those beginner fingers from.UPDATE:========So after about a week or two of heavy daily flipping (and a couple of drops on the hardwood...derp) both handles gradually became extremely loose. They can be tightened, but still work themselves loose again within just a few minutes. I recommend maybe adding a tiny dab of Loctite on each of the two blade screws or even a simple upgrade to better hardware. Everything else is still fine, latch is still nice and tight opened or closed even when the handles are loose, but when it's not loose it flips smoother than half of the actual knives I've owned.

It's alright.
For a $10 amazon balisong, it's not bad at all. The handles are a tad too short, but other than that, it's very durable for the price.

Surely worth more than the asking price. Good deal!
For the price this is rather decent. Has a nice weight, feel, and shape. It is a wee stiff at first but while flipping open/closed loosened up to where it had a good feel while swinging it about. The practice blade has a good thickness. I would say the lock mechanism is a bit of an annoying issue: it tends to stick in certain positions which is bothersome, so may have to fix that manually which isnt a problem really but a tad annoying.

Not good quality
The pins aren’t tight so the blade and handle warble side to side a lot

Stiff when you first get it

Would give 0
First one I bought, the handle came apart in the first 20 minutes of opening it. I was sent a replacement and the exact same part broke again.

Descent product. Broke quickly.
It was a wonderful purchase at first. My son loved it! However, it broke about two weeks after arriving. Could be the combination of the fact my son is hard on things, or the fact the product isn’t durable enough to last for long .
