I've used these pumps at work and was impressed with their performance. Being a fan of USA made equipment, I went with the JB pump when it was time for me to get one. I've used it on several occasions and it performs quickly and flawlessly. As an informal test, I hooked up my manifold gauges, pulled a vacuum, closed off the valve, and turned the unit off. A week later, my gauges showed full vacuum. Pay attention to the hose connections at the top of the pump, you will probably need to find some adapters if you're working with automotive AC systems.

If you're a DIY mini split kinda guy then there are cheaper options out there, but for someone who does HVAC for a living this thing is a beast! I consistently pull a sub 100 micron vacuum on mini split systems (which are super popular in my area) within 10 minutes. No complaints, it's awesome.

The motor info was not available online when I looked for it. I am going to use it in place of the HR premium pump. It draws 6.3 amps while running the HR pump only draws 2.8 Amps. It will cost $0.77 more per batch than the premium pump to rum. I wish it had a DC Controlled motor similar to the NAVAC Pump. It pulled down to 10 microns in just a few seconds with the caps on. What I like about it is the replacement pump cartridge module, only $125.

Works great, pulls a vacuum fast, and definitely is worth the money.

Bought one almost a year ago and I love it.I install 2 mini-splits every day and can pull a vacuum down to or below 100 microns in about 45 minutes.

I tried this product twice, but is failed slowly but consistently until after 11 month it no longer is usable as a vacuum pump. I have tried several of your vacuum pumps for evacuating AC air conditioners for automotive use, and they have failed or started to fail in under 1 year. I purchased the JB pump because I have a 3 CFM pump which still works after 10 years, but it is too slow for my current needs. Amazon has replaced these poorly operating pumps, but it is a slowdown in business to have to watch them slowly lose vacuum suction and volume. I watched the oil level carefully and replaced it with the same oil they sent me until they pump no longer worked for my use.
