Keeps my pointer to heel
Lightweight and strong, this harness is great for gently correcting my pointer puppy (now one year old so pretty big and strong) on the lead. The front fastening and the way it tightens across the chest for control works well without hurting him. He's also happy and comfy in it when off leash too - he has never squirmed or fought to try to get it off. The medium size is slightly too big for my full grown English Pointer. It doesn't do too well if it's accidentally left around to be chewed, but that one's on me.

Best by Far!
I've tried several other walking tools without success. My dog is an enthusiastic walker. Prefers to go full speed. Does not care in which direction. Also prone to lunging at critters. Not one for sprinting myself (or darting about), I've been trying to reel her in to a reasonable pace.Things that did not work:Nylon choke collar. Non-starter. Without the metal barbs, she really went for it. Would've asphyxiated herself if I let her. Same with the nylon regular collar.Metal, prong, choke collar. This is what her foster recommended. It slowed her down a bit. But she would still pull on it during all types of leash training techniques. She loved it. Neighbors were intimidated by her in it. I found it slightly terrifying. She actually impaled herself in the front of the neck (did not seem to notice though). Still comes running anytime she hears it jingle though.Halti nylon snout harness. This immobilized her completely. As in, take a few steps and lye on the ground and furiously paw it off. Tried the suggestion of giving a nice treat when putting it on. The few times we did get going, people seemed terrified of her (probably assuming it was to keep her from biting). She went on a sad walking strike and management gave in after a day or two.Harness with wide, padded V on the chest and two clips and attachment ring on the shoulders. I originally got this as a car safety harness and didn't notice the front clip. Turned out to be pretty good for discouraging pulling when clipped into the front ring. But the whole chest piece would pull to the side if she got overly enthusiastic. Really hated putting it on and taking it off (small head hole and big ears). Most difficult to keep clean (so much surface area). This is her go-to car harness because of the padding. This harness. Total life saver. Caught my eye when I stumbled on a YouTube review. Just by looking at the design, I could tell this was going to work much better. Even when tightly strapped in, the extremely wide head hole makes her happy to take it on and off (no alluring jingle though). Slack-leash at walking pace with this one. Possible to pull to the side, but only slightly because of the connection to regular collar. Shoulder ring is excellent with the double-sided leash. Only a very small amount of nylon to clean. She's much better on the regular collar only now.My only complaint is the collar clip has rusted pretty significantly after only a couple months (but quite a few trips into the ocean). At the end of the day, I can't believe this was only $7. I would pay a lot more for high-quality hardware.

The Company of Animals - HALTI Training harness
The hardware on this Medium halter (stated to fit doberman's and Staffy's) is small. It is nicely padded but the D rings, plastic buckle are small and the metal clips are just too small for a dog with size and strength. In my opinion a dog with weight to them such as a doberman would tear this halter up. Just a thought. Spend more money on the actual product and less on the excessive packaging that goes in the trash. The nylon is 1/2 inch thick. I have a very old foster and use it when we're at the park but back it up with thicker collar. I give it 4 stars and will update. I have been using this halter and it's very comfortable for my old girl. Easy to put on and control her with. Nicely padded too just not made for a very strong large dog. My foster pit is about 35 pounds and 12 years old. The halter slips around on her but it's held up and as she her arthritis gets worse I can help her using this harness. For my particular needs it works well.

Excellent device
I bought this about 3 months ago for my 60lb rescue lab mix dog. My dog has reactivity issues from his past and he responds very well to this device. It fits well, is durable and extremely easy to use and adjust. I did also purchase the halti leash with the three options and I love the combination. My furry friend responds almost immediately to a leash direction from me and I feel great that it isn’t on his neck area as he has neck issues. I would highly recommend this for any dog.

Good design, really flimsy construction
Finally, after three failures, a no-pull harness that works effectively. Being able to attach the front hook to a collar seems to be a real plus, and helps prevent it from twisting around to the side like other front- leash harnesses. It doesn't rub under her front legs, and she seems ok with it. I also decided to switch my OCD chow to walk on my other side, which threw her off her usual habits, and the combination has been surprisingly and immediately successful (knock on wood). Overnight, walking has become a good time for both of us.The negatives are, unfortunately, pretty significant. The medium size harness is made of thin, soft, lightweight nylon - it's almost like a grosgrain ribbon, and by far the lightest-gauge material of any collar, harness, or leash I have ever used, and I can't imagine it will last more than a few months. That would be ok, because it's cheap enough even if I have to get one every 6 months I could live with it, and the softness may be why she doesn't seem to mind it like some of the others we've tried. BUT - and not OK - The buckles are also small, lightweight, cheap and hard to use. Likewise the metal snap hook for the collar is very small even for my female-sized fingers, poor quality and sticks, making it very difficult to attach, yet it's what really makes the harness work as intended. If you have an excited or impatient dog (which sort of goes with a puller) forget getting it on quickly or easily. I may see about substituting a carabiner for the snap hook just so getting her ready doesn't become as unpleasant as the walks used to be.

Did not work
This is false information, my 70# golden retriever could care less about the strap across his chest! Wish I could get my money back but I tried sticking with it for too long.

Great for Doberman
Shark and Draakon look great in their Halti harnesses:) The Halti style actually works great for us. I combine them with the head halter and leash them on both buckles for total control. Dobermsns have a lot of power in their chests, so this helps to rein them in:)Draakon is reactive and once bit through a Halti head collar, but since I started to use the head collar with the harness it dialed down his reactivity quite a bit:)I am very satisfied 😌
