Palmers Hair Success Gro Treatment by Palmers for Unisex, 3.5 oz

This is a really nice product, much different from any old hair mask or treatment oil. I have noted other reviewers who were displeased with the way it spreads as it is so thick - I do not believe it is supposed to be used this way, although admittedly instructions simply say 'use a small amount.'You'd really need to be used to caring meticulously for your hair I think to be aware that you aren't supposed to spread it all over like a mask, but massage a little bit into the required areas, like the scalp as I have been doing, by smoothing it on your fingers or rubbing your hands together first with a bit of the product on it. I myself massage it into my scalp before bed and in the mornings. I have found that it soothes my scalp if my hair has been up all day and needs a massage... and the scent, which is a delicious marzipan 'flavour', is not cloying, it lingers but does not go 'off' in any way. I also rub it into my ends, which I find it protects well. As I have very long hair, it provides a nice alternative to coconut oil which I regularly use, but sometimes find too greasy looking. This product does not grease out my hair (used sparingly!), I feel that it is more of a damage repair and soothing balm than a mask. It does not promise faster growth, but improved condition of growth, and this is just what it has done. I do not advise spreading it all over the hair unless you warm it up slowly in hot water or the shower, and then wrap a heated towel around your hair for it to soak in overnight.It does not contain many of the normal 'haircare' ingredients like panthenol or magnesium or biotin or castor oil... and apart from the colouring I think most of its ingredients are natural.Used sparingly, it lasts for ages. I'll certainly be getting another one when this runs out. Very impressive product.

Just want to say first that most hair grow products don't actually make your hair grow, they make it healthier first so that it does grow faster! So, as far as this product is concerned I think it's brilliant! I've been using it since the beginning of May and the condition of my hair is amazing! I have very thin hair and now it's a lot thicker, smoother and shinier :) also, my hair has finally just made it passed my ears so I am very chuffed! A few tips that you might find handy is don't apply any form of heat onto your hair (including hair dryer!) and take vitamins, really helps a lot! Overall, lovely product, likely to last a while, smells pretty and has wonderful effects on your hair! I've already recommended it to two of my friends :)

I have used this for the last few days, and do like it. I have had none of the sticky problems mentioned, but I rub a little between my fingers, and then massage into the scalp. I do run my fingers through my hair, so any small excess is not wasted. Too early for any oustanding results, but my hair is definitely shinier already.If it is of any help, I have curly, frizzy hair, which is also thinning, and have an exceptionally sensitive scalp, but no itching or blisters so far, which is a very good sign.

this product smells lush.yumthe product spreads easy thanks for the persons review that said they l spread it in their roots and work to Di top ill do DAT too, i like the product its supposed to promote hair growth and it does this by adding specially created chemicals to feed and nourish your hair. i like this product it will last me ages till i run out then ill get more .haha shame on the people that thinks its two or one star in therir reviews its actually far better although takes a simple extra little shampoo to remove nothing wrong unless if your a miser about a little extra bloody shampoo .. yuh nah mean. by the way im growing my hair to do dreadlocs, if u want best dreadloc advice check out [...]

Sadly this product did not live up to my high expectation. It did smell delicious however it was very greasy and oily. I tried the product in dry hair to style and it left it sticky. I then decided to try it as recommended as a mask which was sadly much worse. Once applied to the hair it became very difficult to remove, resulting in several washes and I was still left with some residue coating my hair.Such a shame.

I think this actually works! My hair had not grown in length in over 6mths which is unusual for me. However after using this AND some scalp massage it has grown over 2inches in 2mths. I LOVE it! It smells lovely and feels lovely and moisturising on my curly 3c afro hair. It lasts ages and i pile it on. About to order 2 more before i run out of this one because i could never be without this now. So cheap too! Fab quality as always with Palmers. Give it a try!

My daughter hair didn't like it..Her hair is wavy but got thinner with it but what I remember when I was a child, that it was a miracle for my hair and my sisters hair

Contrary to what people are saying. This is a great product. This certainly isn't made for caucasian hair. I have African hair and it's been perfect so far. I have only used this for about 4 weeks. It seems to be working. My hair is fuller at the base and seems to be growing faster. I'll be able to update my review after about 3 months of use.
