Great filters (and an awesome value)--but a few caveats with long exposures from a drone.
I am a heavy user of ND filters for my photography--but always on a tripod planted securely on the ground. I knew ND filters existed for drones, but typically weaker strength intended for video--but not really for long exposure images. For a drone--I never thought that a lens connected to several motors, floating in the sky would be stable enough for the slow shutter images I normally take with my typical cameras. Turns out I was sort of wrong--and the results of getting slow shutter images from a new perspective opens up a whole new slew of imagery! Now keeping in mind that the ND filters that I have for my cameras typically run over a hundred dollar for each one. To be able to get a set of ND filters for the drone that range from 7 to 10 stops of ND filtering for less than $100--I honestly was not expecting too much. I have purchased cheap ND filters before and was greeted with soft images, inconsistent sharpness across the entire image (as we approach the edges), and really bad build quality. Thankfully the Freewell filters do not exhibit any of those. The build quality is nice, machined from aluminum and the optics are multi-coated which is what digital photographers really should be using. The filters appear perfectly flat--and the post cuts are accurate--which allow you (once you get used to it) to install and remove the filters.ND filters tend to have a color cast (though my really expensive ones try to minimize that). The Freewell long exposure set are no exception. They seem to accentuate the typically warmer tendency of the Mavic 2 Pro images. As we creep up in the ND strength, towards the ND1000 or ND2000, the Freewells definitely have a warmer yellow cast to them. A little bummed that they do have a some color cast, especially since I got used to my premium filters, but glad it can be easily corrected--especially if you photograph in RAW.Another thing that I’m not too fond of--the case. Since the filters are sort of placed on the surface of a foam insert within the plastic and the case does not open with a clasp, a sudden slightly forceful opening might make all the filters fall out. If the foam had cut outs in it that could house the filters--that would be better. OR...do away with the case, sell it as a separate item, and make an even better case available separately that can also contain more than the 4 filters--as I also bought the 11-stop ND filter that is contained within a small aluminum tin. Seems like a waste of space to house a bunch of filters in different shaped cases. One more thing I found--and this is due to a comparison with my tripod-bound ND filters--is that the Freewell long exposure seem to be slightly weaker than what I’m used to. Since I bought the long exposure range--from 7-stops all the way to 11-stops, I will treat them as a 5/6-stop to 9/10-stop filter set. That’s fine--as you’ll find in the next paragraph, the darker filters lead to a more difficult time to get a sharper image--all due to the ND filters, not due to the quality of the filters. Now onto the actual use of long exposure ND filters. While optically, they seem great and I have been surprised at how still a drone’s gimbal can get while it’s floating--it is still at the mercy of how windy it is. In trying out the filters--while the Mavic 2 Pro was in Aperture priority mode, the camera seemed to max out at 1 second. Using the 7, 8, and 9 stop ND filters don’t seem to illustrate the issue on a bright sunny day, since they can all execute an image in less than a second. I knew it would be too difficult to ask a drone to do a 20+ second exposure (like I normally would with my tripod shots), but as soon as I crept above 1 second, I noticed that it was very easy to get blurry shots. My success rate was at about half. Not a fault of the ND filters, but more on the expectation of long exposures on a floating object. A gentle breeze is enough. So be sure to take multiple shots to play the odds of getting a sharper image. To do a test on the strength of the stronger filters, I actually found a way to mount the drone straight onto a tripod--removing camera shake from the equation, allowing me to see how consistent the filter is across the glass. The output was consistent--uniform sharpness, and like I mentioned before--a very warm color cast, which was correctable in photo editing.I hope this helps folks who are in the market for filters for a drone for photography. There are caveats for slow shutter exposures with a drone, but once you understand what they are and can photograph in an environment that works--you should seriously consider these filters. They are a great value and built well. Long exposures from the sky have some issues--thankfully these filters don’t contribute any additional issues. I highly recommend these.Note on the images: they are lightly edited to match exposures. The 11-stop ND filter was done in manual mode (as opposed to the aperture priority mode) since I needed more than 1 second for the exposure.

Fantastic filters and great company
Initially I had issues with the fitment of these filters. To no fault of Freewells, there were some tolerance issues with my camera. These guys went above and beyond to not only rectify the problem, but made sure I was satisfied by following up and staying in contact. Very few companies do that anymore and that has earned a customer for life out of me.As far as the filters go, well they are classic Freewells lenses. The non PL filters add no color shift and are essentially optically clear to the camera sensor. These are of the same high quality as the Freewells filters I had on my original Mavic.Definitely buying more items in the future

ND filters are a must! No Quality loss
The media could not be loaded. So after receiving the DJI Mavic Pro 2. I was in the market looking to get some ND filters, and after having used ND filters from Freewell before on my Mavic Pro. I knew I was in for a good product. These are hands down a must have for your mavic. With no quality loss at all. And what's great is they aren't overly priced compared to it's competitors. I had bought myself the Standard Day pack and I plan on going for the Bright day pack as well. Simple to install and a necessary accessory. I highly recommend getting it. I shown an example how easy to install and a photo using the ND8 filter during the day

Nice filters. Horrible choice in case design!
The filters work like it should just like most filters out there. Four stars is because of the case design. The case itself is nice hard plastic, but the foam that holds the filter in place is horrible idea. There’s no slot that the filter is placed in. It’s only a piece of foam where they press down on the filter to create a dent into the foam to hold it in place. Everytime I open up the case, the filter is moving freely inside. Why be so lazy on the design of the foam?!?

Perfect for ocean
He’s really good value for what they are easy to put on work really well and ocean conditions especially with the intense son. I shoot a lot in Hawaii with the sun is really really bright especially over the ocean. These filters really help cut down the glare so I’m able to see my subject a lot easier. And they look really nice.

High Quality ND Filters for Mavic 2 Pro Long Exposure!
When I first heard of using filters for long exposures on a drone I was a little sceptical.Ordered the Freewell Long Exposure set and was blown away with what I could accomplish.Took them to a waterfall here in Oregon and came off super impressed with the quality of images I captured - see example. The filters are high quality and come in a durable case that's easy to carry around - as I travel and am outdoors a lot with my drone this is an absolute must! They're also easy to remove and attach to the Mavic 2 Pro lens and are also scratch resistant which I don't intend to test but am glad that this is a feature with all the rough conditions I travel in.Highly recommend these!

These seem to work great.
I purchased these for my new drone. They pop on very easy and are a tight fit. They do not seem to discolor the image at all. The case they came in is very sturdy, and has 2 spots for if I ever purchase individual NDs. Overall, great quality. I have trusted Freewell with a good amount of my drone accessories, due to the very affordable price point and great quality. If you are in doubt, you cannot go wrong with these. I do wish they came with a polarizing filter though!

NEW Case!! and very well made ND Filters!
These are very well built filters as Freewell is known for. I am very impressed with the build quality. One nice feature is that Freewell listened to its users and redesigned their case (see my photos), no more bumbling about trying to get the old case open. This new case holds the filters tightly, and opens and closes easily. Thank you Freewell.I had no problem getting them on and off of my Mavic 2 Pro, other than they are pretty small compared to my 72mm filters I am used to using on my DSLR's.With a few simple test, I see no color cast at all using the filters, and the ND ratings appear to be right on!These were purchased from Amazon and shipped through Adorama.
