NKJV Study Bible, Hardcover, Comfort Print: The Complete Resource for Studying God’s Word

This New King James Version of the Bible was bought as a present for my wife, whose previous copy of the Bible after much use was falling apart. She uses it every day and is very pleased with it. It tries to combine the beauty of the language of the original 1611 Authorised Version with modern language and in that it's pretty successful. But not only that: this "NKJV Study Bible" edition comes with cross references and explanatory notes throughout, introductory articles for every book, a concordance, maps and drawings/diagrams, a subject index, a table of monies, weights and measures, articles such as "What is Theology?" and "The Bible as History"... At over 2200 pages it is indeed a weighty tome, but well worth the money for exploring and understanding the Christian faith over a lifetime.

Hubby is very happy with this study bible. The text is perfect for me but a little small for him (he is due an eye test though!) Seems pleased with the info inside, its well made and the pages are very white. Great purchase!

Really pleased; gives what I think is thorough study links / cross reference.The only negative point I have is that I expected the words of Christ to be in red; which is why I ordered the red letter edition, but they are not.The only parts that are in red letters are the various paragraph headings.

I think this is a perfect bible for a new Christian who wants to learn more through scripture. Maps and timelines are especially helpful

At times I can feel lost, so I wanted a bible that was more contextual than just the written on the page—this bible helps put everything in historical and geographical perspective so I could understand why certain things happened in certain places at certain times. The hardcover is sturdy and protects the pages from bending and I love the NIV version of translations.

Diese Studienbibel ist absolut empfehlenswert. Die sehr genaue und dabei gut verständliche NKJV-Übersetzung sucht im Deutschen etwas Vergleichbares. Die Textgrundlage für das NT ist der Textus Receptus, wobei im NT häufig (immer?) auch die Lesarten des Mehrheitstextes und von Nestlé-Aland angegeben werden, wenn Abweichungen vorhanden sind. Die Anmerkungen sind sehr umfangreich und wurden von einem Autorenteam verfasst. Herausgeber war Earl Radmacher, der in der Free-Grace-Bewegung geistlich zuhause war und eine dispensationalistische Ausrichtung hatte. Mehr als 10 Jahre haben Radmacher und die anderen Autoren an dem Nelson's New Illustrated Bible Commentary gearbeitet, der deutlich abgespeckt die inhaltliche Grundlage für die Anmerkungen ist. Der ebenfalls auf Amazon erhältliche Kommentar ist auch sehr empfehlenswert.

I luv this study bible! The only thing I don't like is the hard cover n the paper. But it is a hard cover bible so can't complain about that.

Great paper, good print quality with line matching, excellent binding. Hard to find a fault in the physical product.The translation is fine, very KJV-ish. It's a pity that the Duterocanon isn't available.Notes are very evangelical Protestant. Not surprising given that the NKJV was created to cater KJV using evangelicals who wanted something less antiquated in its English than the KJV.Five stars despite the limitations.
