Great for fountain pens.
I originally found a version of this at a bookstore - realized it is1, cheap compared to brands you hear about a lot.2. Pretty nice paper for fountain pens, little bleed and shading.3. A unique 7mm line pattern, based on french for hand writing. This particular set is a version of the original one I found, but it is a 5 pack of a slimmer book, I like this a lot, highly recommended if you write a lot.

Nothing better
I am extraordinarily picky when it comes to my stationery. This is the ONLY notebook I am willing to use. The page layout is perfect, the grid is useful, price is affordable, and the paper is like nothing else. If using a pen it may bleed through depending on how inky the pen is. I primarily use this with pencil so it is not a problem I am concerned with.

Got from review on YouTube. Not so good
Got on recommendation from YouTube. In using fountain pen, paper ghosts and bleeds through. Highly disappointed.

Good quality paper!
I'm discerning when it comes to paper because I write with fountain pens exclusively. Since prices on two of my favorite Japanese notebooks have escalated, I gave these a try. I wanted a firm cover notebook, which these are not, but I've got a firm leather cover which I can put 3 of these in - it worked out fine. They are lightweight too, likely designed for students for the Japanese market, thus suited for that purpose. Paper quality is what I'm after, and that is great. The style of lines in this notebook are unique, however, they do have another style of lines (in a different listing) if these aren't your preference; make sure to view the pics before purchasing. If you are looking for smooth or fountain pen friendly papers at a good price point and aren't choosy about the thin covers or the 30 sheets per book, then I'd recommend them. No feathering, ghosting or bleeding but I don't use highly saturated inks, I'm not heavy handed and I write with fine nibs. To compare them to other similar price/style notebooks made in Japan, they are on par for the 150 sheets in this listing.

Note Taker's Dream
I LOVE this notebook. I make a lot of lists and like to jot down ideas at work--the grid lines are perfect. I wish I had known about this notebook while I was in school!
