Excellent Support for Those Who Stand Daily While At Work..
I have been a pharmacist for over 20 years and have found these socks to be the best product I have ever purchased for venous/vascular support. If you stand daily at your job week after week, month after month, and year after year, this product would be an invaluable aid to you. At the end of the day, your feet will not ache nor will your ankles be swollen as mine often were for too many years. These socks fit perfectly and seem to offer just the right amount of compression--enough for adequate support but not enough to be overly constrictive and uncomfortable. I'd also recommend the 'Drew' brand of orthotic shoe for those individuals who stand daily at their jobs as I do. The Drew brand of shoe is also available from the Amazon website in a variety of different styles for men and women.

Top Tier Sock - Great price
4 stars for quality fit and comfort - and price. My interest in compression socks is for air travel and support during long sits at the computer. This is a great sock. It has some good competition. In my opinion this Recovery Sock (made by the same company that makes VitalSox - both which can be found on Amazon and both which (besides the names) have the same website - is on par with the 2XU Elite Performance. But the 2XU is at about 2x the price.I like the 2XU weave and footbox. The Recovery Sock fits a little higher on my calf - up to the knee - and I prefer the 2XU slightly lower height better. So I would try the Recovery Sock first. If that doesn't work then the 2XU.

Wow, what a difference!
I'm a relative newcomer to running, but I just got these as I was beginning to increase my mileage. Let me preface this with the fact that I had not yet run more than 8.5 miles, but was putting in about 15-25 miles a week for the last couple of months. The weekend after I got these, I decided to see if I could handle a half-marathon and I just started running (copyright Forrest Gump). I went out there and did it, hit 13.1 miles. I cooled down, hopped in the shower, and immediately after slipped on the socks. Took some effort, but they went on nice and snug.I wore them for about 4-5 hours after the run. The day after, my lower legs feel great! No ankle pain, much less soreness in my calf region, and no sign of shin-splints. Have to say, I'm a believer. I feel like I could get back out there today, but my quads and hamstrings are a bit sore. The socks have a great look and are relatively less expensive than other brands. Thumbs up from this 41 year old runner!

Unbelievably durable socks. Here’s why. ..
OVERALL These durable, well made comfortable and functional socks are now TEN years old and are as good as the day I bought them.ESPECIALLY Easy to put on and take off. Colorfast. We highly recommend them based on affordability, durability and comfort.

Measurements should list calf as well as shoe size.
This was my first time ordering compression socks, and I believe that these should be sold by calf size as well, not shoe size alone. According to my shoe size, a small should have been sufficient. However, since I was borderline I ordered a medium, and they were still too small. The pain in my legs was so terrible after I wore them the first time that I thought I was going to have to cut them off.

Fair Introductory Compression Sock
First of all, the socks they're now sending look completely different from the ones that are pictured. They're not even the same color.I use compression socks for cross fit training, so I purchased these to add to my mix. If you're looking for a good pair of compression socks to help with muscle recovery, I'd look elsewhere...unless you're looking for an introductory pair. Other reviews have complained about these socks being too difficult to put on. Compared to normal socks, yes, these are difficult to put on. Compared to good, sports-caliber compression socks, these are a cinch to put on.Though I've never worn a pair of old-man compression socks, I'm guessing these are slightly better than over-the-counter types. But for sports-caliber compression socks, these aren't very good. These socks also run big and unusually tall.I returned these.

Good product, so far.
Received the socks ten minutes ago. Much easier to put on than I feared in view of some other reviews. Here is a strong recommendation to help in putting them on. Use a pair of garden gloves with the textured rubber palms and fingers. They're great for pulling them up by simply grabbing the socks in your palms and smoothing them out. They will make a 20 minute job into to a job taking only a few minutes.I am impressed with the product, so far. If any Cons come up, I'll update this review.

Strong smelling like perfume and cigarette smoke.
The Good: socks are ok, I am tall and have extra wide, size 13 feet. The Large size fit great. Keep in mind that compression socks are very snug and are supposed to squeeze around the leg and ankle. The toes should fit like any other sock. With the toes smoothly covering my toes, the heel lines up exactly in the right place. This is key to a comfortable walking sock. The bad: The socks are very strong smelling like perfume and cigarette smoke. Even after washing before first use, they still smell of perfume.I'm hoping a second washing will take this away.Update: 4 hand washing and 2 times in the wash and the smell is reduced. It seems the socks are a bit too tight on my toes and I had to stop wearing them.
