Very strong lock easy to fit and works nicely

Fitted and works fine. Arrived in Yale box in new condition. Fitting was simple, no ‘lugs’ or ‘dimples’ to get in the way. The over length of the 35/35 is 70mm not some other makes that are up 74mm which won’t fit into a Yale platinum door handle. Shame it only comes with 3 keys as had to pay out £16 for 2 additional keys so hopefully it doesn’t fail!

Bought this to replace an LSH/ERA euro lock that failed.Euro cylinder locks are very simple to replace. There are lots of youtube video's. Just make sure that you get the correct size replacement. The simplest way to do this is to measure your existing lock. The measurements are from the center of the retaining screw to the internal and external sides of the lock. If the measurements are not the same make sure you know which one is for the external and which is the internal as not all replacements fit both ways round.There are two small knobs on the side of this lock. These are visible in the product picture. They are called grip deflectors and are meant to make gripping the cylinder more difficult when someone is breaking in... I suspect that this is after the first part has snapped off.I've checked a lot of different replacements and yale appears to be the only company that has some of its euro cylinder locks with this feature.The lock I was replacing did not have these little knobs on it and the lock did not fit with them still present. I just cut them off with a hacksaw and filed what was left of the raised bits down. The cylinder lock was a very tight fit.The lock now fits fine and works as one would expect.

Solid well made lock assembly which took about two minutes to fit. So much more secure, although it is a little more fiddly to put the key in the lock.

This has enhanced our door security ,but the keys are a bit awkward to fit in the lock.

If I could give 0 stars I would.I've had this lock installed for little over 2 months and it started playing up with the key not going all the way in. The appropriate lubricant was applied and it helped for a few days, however today it failed and left us stuck outside the house. Only install this lock if you dont want to enter your own home.
