Works perfectly if you follow package directions! Pricey but worth it!
I LOVE THESE! I was hesitant to buy after seeing mixed reviews but I am SO GLAD I DID. Aside from the extra steps in preparation (which aren't that big of a pain), I can barely tell the difference from regular angel hair pasta. Yes they smell weird when you open the package, so what? You get to have noodles! As long as you rinse them out well, boil them for 2 minutes and then fry them in a pan for a couple minutes they do not have any weird taste to them! So far I've made shrimp alfredo and vegetable lo mein. Going to try homemade ramen tomorrow! A little pricey but definitely curbs the carb cravings!

Great concept... poor flavor, texture, etc.
I bought this when I saw them on Good Morning America, thinking they would be a great sub. for pasta. They are low calorie, low carb and looked as if they would be at least ok to try. I was WRONG! When I got these I was excited to try them, but when I opened the first bag, I got the fishy smell others have described, so I rinsed them until it was gone. I then, blanced them in boiling water (as directions stated) and when I took them out they were congelled together in knots. Well I thought I would still give them a try, hey how bad could they be? I put pasta sauce on them, and onto my plate (still excited to try!)... but when I put them in my mouth.... it reminded me of a frozen pasta (like a Healthy Choice) but much worse! I threw the whole plate of food away and the other bags of the so-called "Pasta"!I would all in all not recommend these! Save your money, and just limit yourself on the real thing, trust me it's worth it!

Nobody reads 3-star reviews, but I'll try to be helpful anyway.
When the five packs arrived they were much smaller than I expected, so I made one large spaghetti casserole with meatballs. Like others mentioned it had a fishy smell at first, but after cooking it there was no trace of the smell. The casserole was pretty good, although the texture was somewhat chewier than you would expect from normal spaghetti, and you could tell you weren't eating the usual processed carbohydrates. Given the high price for a small amount of noodles I don't see this as a viable diet alternative -- I would have to spend way too much to replace my normal noodle intake. Fine then, I'll eat less and exercise more.A note about making a large casserole - YOU CAN NOT FREEZE THESE NOODLES! I froze the leftovers, and when I thawed some out a couple of weeks later the noodles had turned into a desiccated rat's nest. It was like eating a knotted ball of butcher's twine. Blech.

Great for HCG Dieters...
Am so pleased with all the Miracle Noodles, so much so I have signed up with their 60-day auto shipment. They are carb-free, calorie-free and just the perfect amount to fill you up on those 'lean' days that you need an extra filler for. Just rinse for a couple of minutes, blanch in boiling water for a minute more, and then either dry with towels or just add to your meal. They pick up the flavors of whatever spice you are using, and are great especially with the Braggs Liquid Amino marinade. Can be on the spendy side but these days of obesity problems, this product is a great substitute and worth the money.

Flavorless filler - disappointed in portion size for price
I read up on this noodle before buying them. Learned that you drain and then boil, then if you dry with paper towel and then dry in pan as instructions say for better texture/taste.I find these to be slightly chewy and not sure if I maybe didn't boil long enough or dry well enough (didn't want to dry them out totally)...they really have no flavor, but if looking for no calories , no carbs and addition of fiber to help fluff or fill a meal so you don't eat as much, this is it!We used to add rice and instead add this now.Plan to try to make beef low mein with this soon and replace noodles in that meal.I was disappointed in the package size though...not much in there for the price.

Perfect for Asian dishes
I just tried these for the first time in a low fat, low carb, healthy Shirataki Chow Mien dish. These are fantastic for Asian style dishes. The texture would not work at all for Western style noodle dishes like Spaghetti, I think, but I don't even feel the need to try because they are so good used in the cuisine they were meant for.As far as the fishy smell many people complain about, I didn't have any issues with this. I rinsed them off while I was preping the veggies, and they didn't have any smell AT ALL after that.I will definitely be buying more of these!

I wanted to like this product but ...
To be fair to the product, it does what it promises -- no carbs and filling so you are not going to over-eat. Unfortunately, I'm very sensitive to food textures and in spite of rinsing, boiling, and drying, it was still like chewing on rubber bands. This is no substitute for the texture of pasta. Also I could still detect a residual musty smell and taste even after rinsing and putting in boiling water for two minutes. The shirataki noodles are very popular and work for a lot of people so I am probably an outlier (I'm also one of the people who can't eat products prepared using olestra) but I couldn't get past the texture and smell. And I did follow the directions so it's a not a matter of not preparing the the shirataki noodles properly.
