30 Saffron Crocus Bulbs--fall Blooming, Grow Your Own Saffron Spice! Plant now for Fall Blooms!

Purchased in September with some doubt on the authenticity. Planted some outdoors and a few indoors. The outdoor ones have all sprouted and growing slowly in the cooler Maine weather. I am watching them and protecting them against frost. I had kept a few in the original bag at room temperature and noticed they had sprouted about an inch. I sowed them in a a container indoors and kept the container on a heating grow mat. They have all sprouted and so far one has bloomed and has the red thread stamens.. I just harvest the only one I have so far. It has a very sweet aroma. Each bulb has mad more bulbs which is great for multiplication. Will post with more pics. Will purchase more to increase my harvest in the coming years.Just an update, my outdoor ones have begun blooming too which is a pleasant surprise for November in Maine.

These arrived dry and whole. I unpacked them quickly as they needed air. Stored them in a cool dry place for about 4 days till I'll could plant them on 09-06. Will update if and when they bloom. They ook good so very hopeful.

Please don’t buy from this place. We bought saffron bulbs and first year no flowers and then second year no flowers. The plants grow but no bloom and saffron.

These were all healthy and sprouted on time! I did not get blooms on every one, but they are establishing.

They came in very quickly which was good so I can get them in the ground and get me some delicious saffron this coming spring. They where definitely alive and viable when arrived because they where already sprouting and one even had a flower on it still alive. I am extremely happy and am even ordering some more for my mothers birthday in a few days and I know she will love them as well.

It was fantastic to be able to find this kind of crocus bulb late in the season (we were about a month behind with our planting). But every single bulb was sprouted. It would make more sense for this company to stop selling their product and wait until next year. Hopefully the bulbs will be fine. Bulbs are resilient. It’s just bad form to sell sprouted bulbs, especially at this price.
