Awesome power supply for raspberry pi
After using this power supply, Raspberry Pi doesn't show the warning "under voltage detected" anymore. I have set the voltage to 5.3 and connected raspberry pi & external hard-disk in parallel. It looks like a tiny SMPS. Only problem is that it makes a screeching noise.Update 12 May 2020. One year of usage.I had kept this on 24X7 from past 8 months.Load includes Raspberry Pi with cooling fan, externally powered USB hub to which four external hard-disk are connected and 4-relay board.Recently I noticed that an external hard-disk went offline and started making clicking noise. It took some time for me to identify that the voltage output had dropped to 4.6v.This started happening approximately around once a month from past 3 months. I had to tune the voltage again to 5.3v. Seems power supply is dying. Hope it doesn't damage peripherals.Update 3-Apr-2021: Voltage is less than 4.3 and I cannot tune it up anymore.

Cheapest in this rating group
Bought it for my Raspberry Pi 5 8GB. I could boot it from an ssd drive. The adapter I already had for Rpi 4, boots RPi5 from microsd card, but not fron the usb drive. Took a chance and bought this. I had to attach a usb type C cable and a power cable with this adapter. That costed extra, but even then it was chepaer than the original RPi5 adapter.

Less than rated Currrent Output
Please factor in at least 30% margin into your current requirements while selecting this power supply. In my case, the power supply was tripping due to overload protection when the current draw crossed 3.5A. Observed on multiple power supplies so it's not a defect on a single piece. Also, observed low frequency humming in a couple of power supplies when there was no load. Was not present on all units. But it's an irritating sound when its installed in a quiet room. Might have to figure out a way to dampen the sound.Otherwise, this unit gets the job done. Once tuned to the right voltage, it stays steady over several weeks.
