Very happy!
This sprinkler is really nice! I bought it and another, cheaper, one thinking I'd use this on my back lawn and other on my front lawn. Instead I really want two of these. The timer is great and works very well so I don't have to remember to turn off the sprinkler immediately. The area it covers is large (less with the timer but that works out well for me) and the oscillations are smooth and even. I leave it outside and it's not had any problems due to the weather either. Easy to recommend and I'll probably buy another one. The sturdy feel of the plastic and heft to the base shows that it's well made and worth the money.

Finally, a sprinkler I can figure out :)
AHHH, finally a sprinkler that I can figure out. Maybe this doesn't say much about me, but I could never figure out the "other" sprinklers where you turn the circular knob to adjust the oscillations. (They're usually green). Because I couldn't figure those out, I tried a variety of other styles of sprinklers but they all really were inadequate. I'm constantly battling dog-pee-burn in my tiny yard so I'm forever repairing patches. Which involves watering. I finally don't hate doing it. Adjusting the spray is very intuitive.I also love the timer. I have a bit of a bad habit of turning on the sprinkler and then going to bed! This is great. I believe it is detachable and you could actually attach the timer to the faucet. This would be helpful if you (like me) use those expanding hoses that will burst if the pressure is left in them too long (like overnight). I realize this is a great idea, but for some reason I never tested it. Oddly enough, once the hose was on a timer I never "forgot" about it....go figure.Even if this broke, I would buy another one. Its cheap enough and works well enough.

So far so good. And very wide coverage.
I am a grass geek. So, my sprinklers are one of my most important tools – right next to my fertilizers. I prefer the back and forth ones to the circular ones – but for the life of me I can never figure out the range (width of back and forth) on the typical sprinklers. I swear, I feel like you need a physics degree, I rotate my front sprinkler to either two large areas for four small areas (if the planters are getting over watered). So I am constantly adjusting them. And I am sure that I look like an idiot on the 15th adjustment when I am sopping wet.So, I tried this one for the front this summer and I am pretty happy for a few main reasons:* To set the range there are two “switches” – lined up in the middle you get tight oscillation in the center. One switched moved away from the center – oscillation only in one direction. Both switches moved away from the center full front to back oscillation. And these are not hard stops, you can move the switch to anywhere from center to the end to open the oscillation as broadly or narrowly as you would like. Seriously, explaining/understanding this is harder than actually setting it.* The barrel can be adjusted. So, you can just point the jets away from you before you turn it on. No direct assault when you forget to account for that with the standard one either by crimping or holding it pointed at the ground. This unit also includes a timer. This is not that big of a plus for me as I have always had timers at the spickets. And let me just say this now – if you are not using timers – you need to get with the program. Such time savers. Even just the basic twist ones like the one on this sprinkler. The timer functionality does have one drawback that another reviewer explained well (he must have a physics degree). With the timer at the unit there is a pressure issue. This is presenting for me as a bit of leaking. Nothing earth shattering. Also, I think that the timer may be able to be removed too if you have a more sophisticated timing system at your spicket – but don’t quote me on it.Given this a solid 4. Given that is is all plastic, I am guessing that it will not be as durable as the standard metal ones. Might upgrade at the end of the summer. But I would rather have this one and replace annual that fighting with that dial with the little black on black pie pieces that you can see and click into place resulting in some oscillation variation that doesn't really correlate.

High quality, Mega distance, Great product.
Wow, does this thing GO! Water your whole lawn in one setting. We have a pretty big lawn and this thing looks like a water fountain show from Vegas. Love how it waters so much area. High quality and good water pressure for mega-distance watering. Lawn looked better after a week of using this compared to the old spitter we had previously. Easy to unscrew and screw back on. The timer is awesome in case you forget to turn it off (won't over saturate lawn and won't waste water.) Screw on, put on lawn, set timer with one click of the dial, turn on water. Love it.

I would avoid it you don't want to buy another in a few months.
I am updating my review after having it for almost a year. It worked perfect when I first received it. Now 8 months later and will not move anymore. It just makes a clicking noise like a gear is stripped and will move if you give it a nudge but then promptly get stuck again after a minute. The unit was stored in a safe place with nothing on it, around it in its original box. There is no reason that it should have stopped working. I read reviews similar but like most i thought well can't please everyone. Now i know they weren't lying. The only good thing is that the water timer still works fine so i attached it to a sprinkler i bought at homedepot 2 years ago that still works fine (not this brand or unit). I would avoid this unit. It is also 100% plastic and color faded very quickly in texas heat. It will not water the specified SQFT as well, but when worked would cover a decent amount.

physically a good investment. needs some tuning in the area coverage department.
Great for covering a large area but does not spread water equally. The area for 3 feet on each side of the sprinkler does not get enough water for equal plant growth. By the 3 feet on each side i'm talking 90 degrees on each end of the sprinkler. The adustment and coverage for how far you want to throw the water works well. love the timer.
