Bloomsbury Harry Potter And The Philosopher's Stone Slytherin Edition Paperback – 29 June 2017

I pre-ordered this as soon as I saw it and received my copy today after waiting for ages and it was well worth the wait and I don't think I've ever opened a package so quickly!I love that the book has been released in four versions for each of the four houses and that they are also in house colours. There is extra information at the front with information about the founders of each house and other information. There's an introduction to Slytherin (or whatever house book you buy), all different information about the house that is the house relic, ghost etc, there's a map of Hogwarts, famous Slytherins, a Hogwarts quiz and so much more. I am very impressed with this book, it's gorgeous and has way more content that I expected. I would definitely recommend this book for any Harry Potter fan.

I have ordered 4 of these 20th Anniversary Edition (2 Hardcover of Gryffindor, Hufflepuff edition and 2 softcover of rest 2 houses).I have received the Hardcover editions few days back and I was glad to see the different stuff related to particular houses other than the cover. I was quite sure that the Hardcover and paperback edition will not have anything different other than the cover, that's why I haven't ordered all 8 of them. I guess I was right as the paperback edition is exactly the same as the hardcover edition in terms of number of pages and overall content. The look and feel of these paperback edition is also very good.Those who don't know these anniversary editions (both hardcover and paperback) contains the introduction of house founder, House Relic and Livery and their Ghost's intro. The book also has a Hogwarts map spread in 2 pages. Apart from these there are additional stuff related to sorting, Hogwarts quiz, House Common Room, Famous house student (Draco Malfoy in this case), alumnus (Voldemort and Bellatrix Lestrange ) and Head (Snape) along with House Cup info. The last 3 pages are dedicated to an article about the 20 years' journey of JK Rowling focused on potterverse.It's almost as perfect as a it could get and I guess I need not to say anything about the main story because apparently the entire world is in fan-list. Go for it

As I and my fiancé set off on this journey towards Hogwarts and back, we cherished each and every step taken by us. The excitement of meeting none other than the great Dumbledore along with feeling the goosebumps or the adrenaline rush running throughout my body while whispering " He Who Must Not Be Named " is irreplaceable. Hogwarts is a place which has already become very dear to me, where my personal emotions are invested through each and every line and in turn with every page. And I believe that no Potterhead is an exception to this. J. K. Rowling truly deserves a world of applaud and beyond from all of us readers. She created an imaginary fictitious place of escape (an imaginary Disneyland) for us away from our morbid everyday reality. Even though my fiancé and I have come to an end of the first part of the Hogwarts experience where Harry has to return to the Dursleys again for the end of the term vacation, there is no vacation yet for us Potterheads ... CHAMBER OF SECRETS is calling us ...

It's a common knowledge that the story is just brilliant. So I'll focus on the quality and features of this edition. The look and feel of this item was just amazing. Even though the paper which is wrapped around the hard cover was a little damaged on the side for which I have given one less star.There's more content in this edition. Based on the house, there are few articles at the beginning and few more at the back. Though I felt like that these could be spoilers for someone who is reading the book for the first time since they mention some events/characters which appear in the later books.

This book will introduce you to the world of Hogwarts and will easily captivate you into the storyline.

Beautifully designed and with great extra info inside (about Slytherin house, founder, ghost, emblem etc) its a must have for any Potterhead. Pleased to get the Hardcover from an Amazon fulfilled seller for 700 bucks only, also I was esp. happy with the super fast delivery. Only complain : I had fully expected them to send such a costly book safely packed inside a box but instead I got it in poor quality plastic bag which lead to the cover getting a bit squashed at top of the spine. Otherwise very happy with it.

Here's to 20 years of magic, madness, joy, grief and wizardry! Harry Potter will always be a part of me, and I'm sure all the potterheads will agree with me on this, despite our house differences 😁.Though I'm officially a Ravenclaw, I've always resonated more with the Slytherin house; not that I don't love Ravenclaw, or any of the other houses, for that matter; I just believe that this house agenda is a very fluid topic - it keeps varying.Anyways, the book for the special 20 years of happiness that Harry Potter series is, is fabulously made ~ special contents depending on the house, and of course the beautifully crafted covers. ❤A must-buy for the True Potterheads! 😉💫

The book looks AMAZING. I don't see much of slythering content. Most of the details are complied from all the other books. But it's good to see all the information at once.Packaging was great and very happy with the product
