I bought these to take to bear country via an airline. I called the airline and they told me to put it in my checked bag. On the way home I was told you can’t transport it and if you did it was a $1,000 fine. Know your airline rules or wait till you arrive to purchase bear spray. We had too dispose of them before checking our bags for the return flight. As far as the bear spray goes, it’s one of those things you are glad you never had to use it. It’s ability to spray a cloud, have enough for more than one spray in case you had multiple bear attacks an included two spay virulent with holsters made it the size choice. At the National parks one bottle was as much if not more than the price of the two bottles. Our Airbnb had a bottle we could have used for free. Check with your vacation rental ahead of time.

I bought this for my mother to use as protection since we live in the city. She’s older so you never know what can happen This bear spray has literally saved her life more than three times in two years from being robbed and possibly killed.

⚠ Caution ⚠ Several sources say this product is not to be used on people who attack you. It is not legal to use it to defend yourself when attacked by a human robber. It is only to be used against a bear. Have yet to see a bear to need this. Hope when I do use it I am upwind as it is STRONG! Would suggest having alternative methods to deal with bears in addition to this like maybe a pan or stick. If I did use it on a bear, I hope they remember not to get too close to a human any time soon. Have you ever seen a bear without fur? they are ugly! that is why they are upset at humans as they know someone shaved them once long ago. Put a few of these bottles in your car in case you drive across a bear or see someone else being attacked by a bear. it happens a lot in Oregon I hear.

We recently took a trip to all the mid-US national parks and wanted to be prepared for every scenario. I didn’t have much knowledge about bears, or bear attacks, before buying this product, but the information provided upon purchase and on their website was sooo helpful. I spent about an hour reading every word and watching every video to make sure I was aware of the proper protocol. This is a product you are happy to buy and never need to use - but I was very thankful that we could walk through the woods and have safety at the tip of our fingers. We did have a grizzly bear walking towards us at one point, but it changed course before we had to deploy the spray! :)

Purchased these for our three month over-land trip from FL to Ak and home again. Every park we visited had bear warnings and on numerous occasions we saw bears roaming through camp sites and along trails. Having these gave us peace of mind. When driving, they were carried in pockets on the driver and passenger doors. When exiting/walking/hiking, we wore them attached to our belts. I'm a big guy - 6'2" and 235lbs so I thought i would have no issue pulling the can from it's plastic carrier (attached to my belt). As with anything, practice makes perfect and it was a huge pain. Maybe is was the two we got but during our practice sessions, rarely could I get it "drawn" without several tugs. My wife was never able to draw it and resigned herself to wearing it so she could just pull everything from her belt and initiate the spray while the can was still secured in it's carrying sleeve. We did cross the Canadian/US border several times and would always declare the spray when asked if we had weapons etc., and we never had an issue.

Took this bear spray on trip in grizzly territory, did not encounter bears. Perfect!Seriously, though, we did carry it but we also are very aware of appropriate practices and frequently camp in black bear areas without concern or problem. We did not have an opportunity to test it out, and that's fine. We did continue to keep it close at hand and in the tents throughout the trip for self-defense, and I'll probably carry it in our gear going forward, even though we won't be in grizzly country. Two-pack was good price.

Comes with the holder. I have never had to use it. But it came highly recommended to me.

Bought for camping and in my vehicle. not too big making it hard to carry around. would reorder but hope i dont have to use. good for personal protection instead of mase
