no it requires at least 10.5 volts to activate ideally 12 Volts

Q: Is this irem waterproof

It is not waterproof. There is a small drain hole in the bottom. I have had no issues with weather. Works great.

Q: How do i wire it ,i cant get it to qork

Black wire is (+ Hot) wire. Red wire goes to the lights. White wire is (- ground). it takes about 5 or 10 seconds to click on when dark or covered with a rag to make it dark.
