Samsung 2GB DDR2 RAM PC2-6400 240-Pin DIMM Major/3rd

I have Dell Inspiron 530 desktop PC. It has 4 RAM slots with 1G memory cards. Long ago one of the slots failed to except memory card. I realized that slot controller was broken down. So I worked with only 3x1Gb memory cards whereas for maximum performance at 32 bit system it is needed 4Gb RAM. It is why I decided to replace one of the 1Gb card for 2Gb one to get total RAM of 4 Gb. I bought 2Gb card with same parameters as for 1Gb except memory capacity. After replacement system automatically recognized this card and updated RAM for 4Gb without any problems. So I recommend to anybody who experience similar problem this option. At buying such card make sure that all parameters of new card (type, frequency etc.) except bigger capacity should be the same as for old one.

This 8 GB SDRAM, 4 sticks of 2 GB each, replaced the original 4 GB memory on my several-year old desktop.The PC was becoming very sluggish as the operating system was updated from Vista, Win 7, The disk swapping was the main culprit.The computer is a lot more pleasant to use now with 8GB memory. The replacement steps were simple. Turn off PC. Remove 4 ram cards.Insert the new 4 ram cards. It pays to be careful not to disturb the nearby wiring. The PC booted up. The system check showed 8 GB installed.Everything works. Great.

Good cards for the money spent.

I bought 4 sticks of 2GB DDR2 ram from this seller. I am very pleased with the quality, and price.I don't really know what else to say about this ram, since few people probably need DDR2 anymore.Don't let the fact that this ram is used dissuade you from buying it. The RAM functions fine, and, as far as my tests indicate, is fully functional.I can't say it made my computer any better, but the processor is really old, and the motherboard itself has a maximum of 8GB RAM, so that says a lot as is.

DDR2 RAM has been getting harder to come by, and prices have skyrocketed. Happily, the four sticks I bought work great on a proprietary motherboard, and were sold at a very reasonable price (a little over $19 at the time of this writing). Installation went smoothly, and I've been using all 8 GB for a few months now. Don't be alarmed by their size- they were half the height of the ram I replaced- it IS ddr2 ram, and securely snaps into the channels on the motherboard. They work as expected, allowing me to keep many tabs and programs open at once. I would recommend these to anyone who wants to make a quick upgrade to an aging computer.

I bought a two 2gb ddr2 Samsung ram for my Inspiron 530. It had 6gb ddr2 2x2gb and 2x1gb sticks. I saw the my 2gb sticks were Samsung so I stuck with this brand, and it was cheaper then some off brand. Taking out the 2x1gb sticks and replacing it with these, first boot it worked and their were no problems. Simple and fast

This memory works fine. It is NOT very fast, however. My Gigabyte motherboard treats this as 333 MHz memory unless overridden by overclocking setup. 400 MHz SPD timings are 6-6-6-18-24.

I have bought this memory for both a Power Mac G5 and A Gateway Both have been running them for a while and I recently decided to add two more chips to the gateway, they are running them just fine after 24 hours and I am confident that they will hold up. I look forward to buying three more sets in the future.
