20% Hydroxytyrosole compound Olive fruit extract with a wide range of polyphenols found in olive leaf extract and extra virgin olive oil. Olive fruit is an excellent source of some polyphenol extracts compared to olly briefs. This product is standardized to contain at least 16% pure hydroxythro soles. It is also standardized to a minimum of 20% Hydroxytyrosole COMPLEX, including both hydroxytirosole and related polyphenols such as Tyrosol, Oleocanthal, etc. Like all of our olive extracts, this extracts are derived from real Mediterranean olive wood (Olea europaea) and are grown and extracted in Spain. Is Hydroxytyrosole or Oleuropein the best choice? For most people, Island Nutrition "Genuine European Olive Leaf Extract" is the best choice. Standardized 25% Oleuropein and 40% total olive polyphenol including hydroxytyrosole complex. Much better than regular olive leaf extract, each capsule contains 1/3 liter of polyphenol of extra virgin olive oil. But in some cases, our 20% Hydroxytyrosole complex is a great choice: Healthy intestinal bacteria converts oleuropein into hydroxytyrosoles, providing many health benefits associated with olive oils. If the intestinal bacteria is unhealthy, it is recommended to take Hydroxytyrosole directly instead of oleuropein. Hydroxythro sole has an olive smell and taste so you can empty the powder from the capsule for tea or mix it with food. On the other hand, Oleuropein has a strong bitter taste and usually needs to be consumed in a capsule. There are more medical studies of hydroxytyrosole than oleuropein. If you study the medical literature and determine that hydroxytyrosole is suitable for certain conditions compared to oleuropein, this 20% Hydroxytyrosole complex is a great choice.
