Healthy plants!
Excellent healthy bare root plants. This is my favorite seller - Hand Picked Nursery. Super reliable consistently each year. Really appreciate their care.

Be careful who you order from. Very poor quality roots
I am surprised to see how low quality the bare roots strawberry plants were. if you can call them that. Some didn't even have 1/4 " length of roots on them. They were just cut off at that short of a length. Some had a bit longer roots but like an inch or so. So small and I can tell after putting them in the soil they are not thriving and some look like they have already died. They sent out really poor quality plants and then ship them out using such a slow shipping company DHL. The plants were already weak to begin with then sitting in the facility for very long to be processed. By the time it arrived almost 2 weeks after they shipped it out. Even though some had some wispy growth on them. Because of the poor root structure they do not look like most of them will take. They already look like those big box store roots that I tried for years to grow and none really took. I have bought other strawberry roots from another nursery on Amazon and they always send out nice roots. I wanted to give this seller a try but I will stick with the Nursery I have been ordering. It's not worth the money if they die and possibly a few may grow. I do wonder if they use a slow shipping company and then by the time buyers try to save them and grow it. Your out of your returning frame. I have 3 photo's of the roots I received. Very small roots. Then I have posted one picture of a large nice healthy bare root strawberry I received 2 days after from a different Nursery as a comparison. Needless to say the other Nursery's plant is already starting to grow and leaf out after a few days in soil. Will not order from 9GreenBox again.

So excited! Came a day early and even had an extra plant.
My kids and I are very excited. They came a day early and so we immediately open the package and started soaking the roots. In the morning. We had fun with the kids and planted them all. We even got 1 extra one (26 total), so that will be nice incase one or two don't make it, but some are big, aome are small, but most, if not all, already have new growth on them and we are excited! I'm not sure if I can add more photos once I hit submit (with the review), but if I can I will update later once more growth starts happening! They all look promising. 😍

These bare roots arrived well packaged
These bare roots arrived well packaged and in good condition. I opened them up and the roots looked beautiful kept. I soaked them in plain water for about 30 minutes. This is something I do. They sprang open! I was surprised. So, in my grow bag they went an doutside on my covered porch to acclimate. I would definitely purchase from this vendor again.

Very small, underdeveloped, none survived.
I was very hopeful when I bought this product. My hopes were let down upon receipt. The stock that I received was dry, small and underdeveloped. I planted them into my strawberry soil with a pH of 5.8. None turned green, none grew and none came to life. The package did not have a date on it so I have no idea how long it sat around before I bought it. I think that if a plant by date were included it would let the consumer know if what they purchased were more likely to be viable. My experience was not good.~CheersDtS

Worst Starts I Have Ever Purchased.
I ordered 2 different types on 2 separate orders. 25 Sweet Charlie's and 20 Ozark Everbearing.I received both orders in one bag. Not 2 bags or bundles in one package... But 1 bag with 38 plant starts. No way to tell which plants were which. The roots were cut short. They were not bundled. They are not in great shape and had spent 6 days in the mailing package.Just 38 plant starts with cut off roots tossed in a clear plastic bag and stuffed in a plastic mailer bag.I waited almost 2 full weeks on these plants. I purchased 2 plant towers for them and 4 cubic ft of potting soil. After $120 out of pocket, I have a not good prospect for growing strawberries this year!Even if I order from a better grower, I will be another 2 weeks out for getting my berries planted. How heartbreaking!!!I understand things do not always go perfect, but this is just a hot mess for my entire season.Cutting off the plant roots causes them to take much longer to recover, if they do at all. It always stunts the plants.Bagging them all together means that I have no idea what variety I am planting. Not even fulfilling the order is just not good business.I have purchased many many many strawberry starts from a few different people and prefer to give glowing reviews for wonderful products. This is not that.I had never grown Sweet Charlie's and wanted to try them out. I have no idea which plants are Sweet Charlie's if any of them are. What a shame.
