We love Jovial einkorn products! I've been feeding this brand to my family for years now. Even organic versions of modern wheat can cause me issues such as muscle twitching and cramping, and occasionally migraines, but this does not. Einkorn wheat is still wheat, but it's the original wheat and not at all the same as the massively hybridized and glyphosate (think RoundUp) sprayed modern wheat. Einkorn is both nutritious and delicious - and that's saying a lot because I don't even like pasta! Except this and the other einkorn versions Jovial makes. This actually has a taste, all others taste like cardboard to me - who wants to eat that?Folks, did you know that glyphosate, RoundUp's main ingredient, is one of the strongest mineral chelators on the planet? that means it binds with minerals anywhere it finds them, in soil, in soil organisms, in plants, and in our bodies. When that occurs, those minerals are removed and unable to be metabolized, making us deficient when we eat deficient plant foods and making the plants deficient when they are grown in deficient soils. Not Good!Further, did you know that glyphosate is used as a drying agent for conventionally grown wheat? It is sprayed on wheat fields to keep weeds away, then sprayed again before harvest to dry the grain faster so it can be harvested faster. Now, glyphosate is systemic, meaning it is taken up by plant roots and distributed throughout the plant - so if we eat non-organic wheat and other foods, we are eating this. It also doesn't wash off, so we are eating it in double or triple or quadruple doses. Could this one chemical contribute to the rampant autoimmune and chronic disease of today? Very likely.Jovial einkorn is not only organic, and therefore devoid of all glyphosate, it is also the most nutrient dense wheat on earth, never hybridized. It is wheat as it was meant to be, wheat that is filled with good proteins instead of novel, unrecognizable hybrid proteins. It has less gluten and more protein than the modern (ruined) stuff used today. Wheat was once a good, health-giving food, and it can be again.Try this pasta, and try their checkerboard cookies too, my kids love to dunk them in their tea, they hold up well.And no, I don't work for Jovial, they don't even know who I am. Einkorn products keep proving to be best and tasty. i have celiac and need to have a gluten free diet, this is organic and is not GMO'd which proven causes gluten swelling and severe joint / muscle pain. the gluten in tis has not been distorted by gmo prosses. i can have pasta again!!! i love the flavor!

This item is advertised as being a whole grain Einkorn product (the photo used in their listing actually says whole wheat) but the product I received is not whole grain. If you're looking for a whole grain penne pasta, don't order this one.

After doing the research on einhorn wheat, I decided to try this product. If you've tried Barillia and all of the other whole wheat pasta brands that mostly taste like ground weeds, dirt, and stone found along the side of the road, you won't be disappointed when buying this product. It has the same consistency as the gmo non- organic pasta we have all become accustomed to. I like my pasta a little more aldente than what the cooking time calls for. So, I will be checking it 2 minutes earlier next time. Overall, it is an excellent product. Buy with confidence.

Got the 6 boxes all wrapped together. I started putting them in the big container I use to store bulk pasta in low light and didn't realize they're all standard and not whole wheat.I'm sure they'll be excellent, but I go out of my way to buy whole wheat pasta, bread, tortillas, etc.I really just wish they were still available in stores at Whole Foods. That makes life a lot easier.

The best wheat on the market. It is an unaltered wheat. The same as it was in ancient times.

The listing advertises Jovial Traditional Penne, i.e. NOT WHOLE WHEAT. The listing does use the phrase "Whole Grain" which matches the ingredients, but the picture shows the Traditional style and the listiung doesn't state that the pasta is whole wheat. If you want whole wheat, this is great. I didn't and the item is non-returnable so into the compost it goes. No response from seller after two days either.
