Well pleased with this lightweight -- breathable -- coat.Freedom of movement, with no constrictive lining -- like was in the past.Modern material -- Sealtex.Time will tell how it performs with staining and washing. Hi-viz are always a problem.Often have a short life. But, with AMAZON's present amazingly keen pricing -- why worry ?The reflective strips are good -- no stitching, and bonded to the fabric.The reflective strips also look good in natural light -- light grey.For anyone wanting a similar jacket with mesh lining and better pockets, and an inside pocket,the Portwest RT60 is similarly lightweight, and still around in places (not Amazon ?).Impressed with this one -- let's hope ongoing experience is good.:-))

Excellent rain coat
Excellent rain coat. In the summer, I wear it to be seen by oncoming traffic whilst walking country roads. It breathes and so is comfortable in Ireland. In winter it is worn over my winter anorak. This is a fine product.

Portwest S491 Hi-Vis Raincoat
The first thing I noticed was that this coat has a really unpleasant smell. Maybe it is these so called 'safer chemicals' that they use. It really is quite foul. If you have a sensitive nose, then this won't be for you.The other thing is that the coat stays wet on the outside for ages, long after hanging it up to dry.Also it only has 2 pockets and not the 5 that were advertised.It is very bright and visible. That's the only positive thing I have to say about it I'm afraid.

It keeps the wind out well
I like the jacket very much but my only complaint about it is that there are too few pockets in the coat. I have actually had to purchase a hi-vis jacket as well to provide more pockets. The jacket is highly good at improving my visibility to other people

Longer than expected - I bought large but should have bought medium.
Size Large is surprisingly longer than expected compared to another size large jacket with a different design.I would have returned it for a medium but it was raining at work the following day so I kept it.
