So easy to set up, and the wind panels really work
We have 2 different Clam portable screen shelters, and we love them both. The 12 x 12 is large enough to accommodate an 8 ft picnic table at a campsite, but it folds enough to fit into the space we have available on the floor of our travel trailer. We can set it up in about 1 minute, and it takes only a little bit longer to take it down, because it has to be folded and stuffed into the bag.We love having the wind panels, although I wish we had known that they did not fasten the same as the panels on our other model. Because they only have 2 velcro attachments in addition to hooks at the top, and they do not have a flap that covers the top, they allow rain to dribble onto the screen. The panel for the door does not fasten at all except at the hooks at the corners, so it will sag and let rain blow in. We are considering adding velcro in the same locations as the side panels. The description does say wind panels, though, not rain panels, and we should have noticed that before we bought it.Still, with the panels up, most of the rain stays out, and the one thing we really like about these panels is that they can be loosened at the top while still be fastened along the sides with the velcro and the hooks at the bottom corners. This creates privacy around the bottom of the screen, and keeps the panels attached enough to be thrown back up quickly during a sudden, unexpected rain storm. Of course, the panels can be left attached or taken off for each independent side. The screen keeps out most bugs, but like any screen, not all. It is still great protection from bugs, and we love the fact that it provides a bit of shade while keeping stuff from falling onto the picnic table. The no-see-um mesh is fine enough to act as a bit of a wind screen itself, though, so it keeps breezes out on a hot day. That is the one drawback. We have had many people ask us where we got this screen after seeing how easy it is to put up and take down and how well it protects from bugs as well as the weather. It is a great addition to our camping gear.Three things to consider:1. The storage bag fits - barely. We get that storage space is a consideration, but the bag could be a bit longer and wider - especially when the screen has to be taken down wet.2. The screen comes with stakes, but they are not the best for hard surfaces. The campgrounds often have gravel pads. We purchased different stakes that work better in hard surfaces, stay put, yet pull out more easily.3. If purchasing the screen without panels, and you decide to get them later, make sure you get the correct panels for the model of screen you purchased. Also, I think some models do not have panels avaialbe. We really recommend getting the panels!

Perfect size
Tried the 6x6 foot size cuz there is only 2 of us but it still seemed a bit cramped with 2 chairs & a small table. The 9x9 is great! Easy to install (one person can do it within a few minutes), great quality, sturdy especially when staked, keeps bugs out when zipped closed. Definitely buy it with at least 2 wind panels (we got 6) for use not only in blowing rain but sunshade on the sides. This product is well worth the price….gives us extra room for sitting & storage when camping. Folds nicely into its storage bag for easy transport.

Set-up is Pure Magic!
I had my doubts. But, this canopy is amazing. Set-up is SUPER easy. And tear-down is a breeze. Works perfectly! And somehow it all fits back into the bag when you’re done. A++!

So easy to set up!!
Got the 5 sided 9’ Clam in brown with the 3 solid side covers. When we go camping, I’m the only adult, so I needed something super easy to set up. This 100% achieves that. I’ve used it 3 times now and the set up takes less than 3 minutes. I worried I wouldn’t be tall enough to pop up the center, but it’s no issue (5’6”). The first time I set it up I did worry that I was doing it wrong because you really push along the top edge of the side to get the cross frame to pop out.Pros: so easy to set up, makes a great place to set up camp & move bikes into over night to keep dry. Solid panels are easy to add/remove/move around to customize where you have added privacy. 5 sided/9’ fits two roll top camp tables and two chairs with room to move around. Also worked extremely well as a shaded space for kids to play in.Cons: the mesh sides really don’t let breeze/air movement to happen so it can get a bit stuffy and make sure to stake it down every time because the wind will tumble it over. Once bugs get in, it’s hard to get them out without taking the whole thing down (although when you do, the bugs have a way to escape so you don’t have to end up with a bunch of dead bugs next time you use it).I am very pleased with my purchase. The seller was responsive - the shelter ships separate from the side panels (makes sense) but Amazon only listed one tracking number, so when the side panels arrived and I couldn’t see a status for the shelter, I reached out.

Great screenhouse!
I am looking to get back into car camping this fall and was searching for a screenhouse I could set up on my own. I am female, 5'3" , out of shape, and 60. i purchased the 6×6. This went up and down with minimal struggle. I think my struggles popping out the sidewalls may be short arms, not lack of strength. Still, it went up in about 5 minutes and that is awesome for one person/screen house.Have not taken it camping yet bet did setup and take down several times in back yard. Fabric is tight over the frame so it should hold up well to rain. No screenhouse or awning should be left up in high winds.even the best can go airborn.Workmanship and materials are A+. Everything as advertised. Be prepared to upgrade stakes and add ropes. This is typical for any tent I have ever purchased.Follow instruction for setup and takedown in detail. If you skip steps it turns into an octopus. This is NOT a no brainer but if done as instructed it works as advertised. Fast and sturdy. My wish list: there are no velco tabs for door wall so the rain walls can only be used on three sides. I had wanted to use as privacy tent. I think i can jimmy rig something on inside with a shower curtain.Best of all: it's bigger on the inside. No inward sloping sidewalls that shrink the foorprint like most tents. Plenty of room for two people, a dog and small table.I am very happy with my purchase. Two years later: still love it but the roof had to be water sealed. Water resistant, not waterproof. 1 can of Spray did the trick.
