I was using an old Waterpik. Which, granted, still did the job. But it was loud. And clunky. This is not. I was thinking from the photos this may be difficult to grip, but it's not at all. The water basin is a good size. You can either twist it off and fill through a large opening, or use a smaller side opening (for water or whatever dental additive you're using). There are 6 different power modes you can choose for the pressure, and it changes flawlessly. I would highly recommend you start with the lowest and work your way up. The waterproof nature of this (not to mention the cordless nature), are gamechangers compared to my large-tanked, plug-in model. Great value to boot!

We’ve been wanting a water flosser that didn’t take up so much counter space and was easier to use. When the power switch went on our old one, it was the perfect opportunity to upgrade! This flosser is so easy to use! We appreciate the different power settings as well as the number of tips it comes with. It sits tucked away in the cabinet and then is easy to grab, fill and go when you want to use it- which means we’re more likely to use it! It’s quieter than our old one as well. Very happy with it!
