I rescue difficult to catch dogs, which oftentimes means using a trap. When we have a trap armed we try to stick nearby or we put cellular cameras on it so we'll know if anything has gone into the trap.I recently worked on a rescue in a remote area with no lighting nearby. Once the sun goes down, it is pitch black. Because it was so far from my home and temps were low, I didn't want to leave the trap set. There was no cell signal for the camera and even if I did get a notification, it would be in there for a long time before I could get there. We bundled up and settled in for a long wait.Although the trap was within 100 feet of my car, we couldn't see it at all. Once we heard some noise, we waited a bit and then I slowly raised the binos up so I could see what, if anything, was at the trap. It was the dog checking out the trap and trying to figure out how to get the food inside. It took a while, but the dog did finally go into the trap and I could clearly see everything that happened.The only downside I can come up with for these is that they won't work through glass. I knew this from having used another just like them, so that's why we were bundled up. I had the car window down about halfway.These are such an excellent tool for our use.

The media could not be loaded. First of all…these are not goggles. You are not strapping these to your head and walking around like a special forces soldier. These are basically a low lux/IR camera. The problem with using these in any outdoor capacity is the field of range is rather small due to the lens. They do actually work pretty decent in low light without the IR setting and when using the IR function, they are really effective. Using these to spot critters in the back yard or in a camping environment might be their best use. If you keep the use of this device realistic, you might be pleased.

The build feels solid, and the night vision is very clear in lower light settings. I’ve tried them for a bit around the house at night, and everything looks pretty sharp. The battery life seems decent , I’ll be take that out overnight trip.
