I got these while pregnant with my daughter almost 3 years ago. They are just now needing new soles. Measure your foot to make sure you get your size tho, they take a week to break in. I worked in a corporate kitchen and being able to clean these easily in some soapy water was wonderful. They also have mild protection from dropped boxes or U-boat wheels since the material is more firm than a tennis shoe. They keep their grip when cleaning the floor around a fryer with grease, boil out, sauce spills etc. 3 of my coworkers also have them and love em.

My husband and I both own Birkis. They are comfortable and light weight. They're some what slip resistant. I love the fact you can purchase replacement insoles. You can even run them through the dishwasher to clean them! Great if you work in the restaurant industry. Note: I'm on my second pair, but I had my first pair for over 10 years.

I bought these for my daughter who is learning to be a pastry chef. They were recommended by her school and she says they are pretty comfortable.

I knew I was taking a chance by ordering from Germany. I have had several pairs of Berkinstock shoes and I always wear the same size. These were not even close to fitting. Too wide and too short. I guess because they are Birki's.? I had to pay close to $30.00 in postage to return them.

These were exactly what i was looking for and they were way cheaper than in stores. Although they came from Europe, I received them much sooner than expected. I LOVE THEM!!!
