Good for those older HP printers that shut off the original power supply because they are weak.
My older HP printer would shut off the original power supply because they had barely enough to run the printer when the power supply was new. If your power supply and/or printer shut down after the carriage tries to move, this may be your fix.

Small budget,BIG dreams
I was given a used hp photosmart printer(which I was told was in working condition) for a small business I started but the power and USB printer b. cable were missing so I ordered this power cable, and it brought the printer back to life along with the Amazon brand USB printer cable, my new Imac computer recognized the printer and offered a software download so all is well so far. I will update final results once I get the new ink shipped to me and installed, but all seems to be in order, thanks amazon and this brand for helping me get my office rolling with a small budget.
