These well made inline fuse holders are large, the black fuse box measures about 48mm x 28mm (1.8 x 1.1 inches).The top latch closes firmly and will keep dust and moisture out, but is not waterproof.The wire is high quality copper strand, true to advertised gauge. This is a quality ATC fuse holder. Used this on the positive lead from RV battery to a 12 VDC power connector with a 15 amp fuse. Simply cut the red wire lead in middle, strip, and crimp an 'in line splice' on each end. The plastic fuse holder is strong, not brittle. The protective cap is a tight fit and should keep moisture and dirt away from the fuse. These seem adequate for marine use however I plan to solder splices in the boat.

Works, but make sure you buy the correct size for your wire.

I used these to fix the drawstrings on some pants and shoes but they came off after a few washes. The process was easy enough and you can use any kind of lighter to shrink the material. I will try this again but I thought I shrunk it down enough to stay on. I am thinking about adding some fabric glue to keep it in place. If your using this for wires or cords etc it should work perfectly fine.
