Works as it should and like the wood handle.

Some things are hard to improve upon, and this is one of them. I have a drawerful of useless knife sharpeners accumulated over the years. all useless. This sharpener has been available for years and there is nothing that works better in my opinion. I sure cant afford to spend a hundred bucks or more for something that im not sure even works. Im sticking with this sharpener forever. period.

It works well, if you know how to sharpen a knife. Very well suited for tuning up kitchen knives. Finish with a good butchers steel. This saves a lot of time by skipping the stone.

We had one of these when I was a kid. As I bought and struggled with different knife sharpeners I kept remembering how great this type worked. I started looking for it and found this on Amazon. It is just how I remember it. Convenient, efficient and it get the knife very sharp. It seems a little expensive compared to the cheap types that don't work but it is less money than the amount I spent on the multiple junk ones that I bought and tossed when they didn't do what they were supposed to. Highly recommend this, especially if you are frustrated with other types of knife sharpeners.

I wish it worked but it doesn't. The metal circles that are supposed to do the sharpening just don't work. I've had other older versions and they worked great. It's a shame.

You buy this item only one time in your life and pass it on to your next kin.Sharpens knives in no time or effort.The only other time you will buy another one is if you lose this one or as a gift.

This item really works! Not like a professional would sharpen, but well enough that I'm completely sold! Will buy again when this one wears out!
