These are a common design of brake pads these days - The V-Brake. The rubber pad is joined to a threaded central spindle stud, with various clamps and washers to hold on to the brake arm.Looking at this brake pad and the old one sitting on my own bike, it does appear that the spindle studs are slightly different diameters. This spindle stud is 5.5mm in diameter. My one is more like 6.5mm. The clamp will still hold it down, but I'm going to check with my local bike shop to see if they think it is still safe to use these new ones with a slightly thinner diameter. Under normal circumstances, I would have checked with the bike shop before buying, but the title on this listing said 'universal', so I thought it would cover a number of different designs.Apart from that, it all appears to be good quality, and the rubber pads are grippy enough.

These brakes come really well packaged. The brake pads easily replaced my existing brake pads. The brake pair also comes with an Allen wrench using which I removed existing brakes and fixed these brakes.These are sturdy and well-made. As for the cost, I think they are really good. These give a good grip against the rim. These don't make a noise when braking.I will see and update how these turn up over time.
