Great product
This numbing cream works amazing. Be mindful that you have to put enough on and wrap it for a nice amount of time for it to take properly. If done right you are definitely looking at hours of numbness. The jar is a nice size based on the price. It’s a lotion like texture and it smells medicated if that makes sense.

"Unspecified type" listed in ingredients... notify artist in advance if using any numbing cream.
I work part time in tattoo shop as a receptionist. Some of the artists are not fond of clients using lidocaine cream in advance. It depends on the person, obviously but one artist who specializes in fine line & portraits work said that lidocaine products can effect the pliablity of your skin & the healing process. You should definitely do a patch test well in advance of your appointment to make sure you're not allergic to any of the ingredients.Speaking of the ingredients, the active ingredient in this cream is 5% lidocaine but in the other ingredients it also lists: "unspecified type". I have no idea what that's referring to and because of that, none of us felt comfortable doing a patch test on ourselves.I chose this product because we know a lot of potential clients will look to Amazon for products of this kind. I figured I try this for recommendation purposes bc ppl ask me about numbing cream All. The. Time. when they call the shop.Unfortunately, I'm not willing to try, or recommend, something with "unspecified type" listed in the ingredients.

Great numbing cream.
I've used other numbing creams in the past on for really painful tattoos like when I got my shin tattoo blacked out. This cream is really great and easy to apply. It's the average percent of lidocaine for one of these. Its a lotion based product and you only need a little bit to cover the area in a thicker layer. And let it sit on the area usually covered in plastic wrap, for an hour or so.I've had nothing but success with using different numbing creams and I always recommend them for painful tattoos. This one worked just as good.

Helps to dull the pain.
This numbing cream works well for dulling the pain. It’s easy to apply and doesn’t leave a greasy feeling. The 50ml size is good for multiple uses. It helps to reduce pain during tattoos or waxing, and the numbing effect lasts for a decent amount of time.

Small jar, and not mighty in numbing
I am having a hand-sized tattoo removed from my outer thigh and despite paying extra for numbing injections and topical numbing cream I always end up being in severe pain and crying. So, I thought getting a head start on the process by using this before my appointments would help. After testing it I am not certain it will. The jar is very small (less than 2 ounces of cream), but since you use so little I thought that would be okay. It comes with an applicator (thank you!). I scooped up a half of a pea sized blob which was overly plenty for the area I wanted to test it on - about the size of two silver dollars. It went on smoothed but stank pretty bad like some sort of chemical. I covered it with plastic and left it on for exactly 30 minutes as required, but after wiping it off I could not tell a noticeable difference in numbness. A tiny bit maybe, but not enough to say it was “numb.”I am going to play around with it and see what works best. More cream, more time, several applications right after each other, etc. if I see improved results I will come back to update this.SPECIAL NOTE: As an approved Amazon Vine member with Gold status, I am trusted to select items for review (sometimes from a list of almost 130,000 options). Many of these items are new to the market, or a seller simply wants some additional exposure for their product. I am NOT required to review every item in exchange for receiving and trying it out. I only order products that are important to me (ones I know I have an interest in and will use), and always strive to provide an honest evaluation of my experience. I do not automatically give a 4- or 5-star review, because the community of Amazon purchasers deserve to know real thoughts and experiences. So, my reviews are always and only based on my use and testing of the product. In that you can trust 100%. It's also important to note that I pay almost 30% in federal income taxes for each item that I receive, whether I review it or not.

Great for New Tattoos
This cream will last for so long, and it is definitely worth the value. There is no color to it, and it works great for numbing new tattoos. I am highly recommending this product to those whose skin gets irritated from new tattoos.

Works as well as can be
Like any kind of numbing cream, ymmv. How long it lasts depends on your sensitivity to lidocaine. But this stuff works as good as any other brand I've tried. Small-ish container but should get you through at least a few sessions. Note that no numbing cream will make you totally numb. You'll still definitely feel the needles. But especially if you're getting a really sensitive area like inner bicep it may take the pain from a 10 to a 7 for an hour or two.
