only one that works
In my experience, this is the only product that keeps my dog from digging in planted areas. Sprays do not work, and there is enough in this bag to last through several applications. He will still walk through the areas, but he does not dig and seems more likely to seek other places to hangout instead of in the bushes. The best price is through Amazon.

Don’t spend the money!!
I put a significant amount of this down next to the street where the neighborhood dogs use for going to the bathroom. Within 40mins of me putting this down 2 boxers came by sniffed and peed. Not worth it!

Works ok
Works great when first put out. After a couple days the dogs ignore it. I bought 2 bags. I won’t purchase again. I put a fence around the plants I don’t want the dogs to pee on or dig. Works way better.

Works like a charm
Works like a charm! It works instantly. It smells like spicy food, and I don't know why people assume this would be a lovely smell, as then it wouldn't deter the dogs, would it? When you apply it correctly it won't overpower you (dogs DO have a better sense of smell than we do!), and of course it doesn't last forever (DUH!). It will wash away with rain and daily sprinkler use....it DOES however make it through a few weeks and regular rain here and there. It does say to apply every few weeks or after a heavy rain. I have also noticed that the dogs shy away from the area after I can't detect the smell anymore....could be their sensitive noses, or they become "trained". All I know is our neighbors 4 dogs no longer come bounding into our yard. It works PERFECTLY and EXACTLY like it says on the label and in the description. There is no issue with the product, but maybe with some humans using it. Neighbors dogs using your property for their bathroom? They won't after a bag or two of this!

Not all that great for me
I got this item because a neighbors dog enjoys poop'ing in our yard. They don't clean up after him, which is annoying since we have a small yard. The poop'ing continued even after we spoke to them about it. Desperate we got this product. At first it was hard to tell if the product worked. We had some mystery poop that appeared just outside the range where I laid down all the repellent. Then on one sunny afternoon, right in front of me, a different neighbors dog made a b-line for our yard and gave us a lovely pile of goodness. I had just put on the repellent an hour prior to this. Doh! Luckily that neighbor cleaned up after her dog.I gave it this rating because it doesn't work consistently for all dog types. If you have one dog of concern, this may work just fine. If you are considering getting this I would recommend spreading the area that you are concerned about evenly with a generous amount. We have a small yard so there was enough in the bag for that and then some. It is also very fragrant and it will keep this fragrance for a few days. Kinda weird but it mentions that it has dried blood in the mixture as well. I wonder where they get that from...

Napalm has nothing on this product
I must admit that I have no idea if this is going to discourage the dogs from peeing on the lawn. What I do know is it's like tear gas for a human. For some reason, I assumed this would be a smell that a dog would dislike...thinking only the dog would really be smelling it since they have sensitive noses and their nose is in the lawn! Oh no....so wrong! I sprinkled this on the lawn and before I could even finish I was overtaken by the stench - something like very strong garlic and fish blood mixed together. I threw up three times before reaching the safety (so I thought) of the garage where I intended lay down and try to stop my uncontrollable retching. Unfortunately for me the garage was open and the stench had permeated every air molecule. I may never be able to use my garage again. We are now in the process of fumigating the garage with scented candles and hoping the sprinklers was away some of the smell which seems to be spreading over the neighborhood. I guess I'll know soon if it works when all the neighbors dogs start to puke...probably on my lawn...I know I did! I don't suggest using this product, in case you can't tell!
