Excellent little product
Not a confident welder and was given my fathers old welder when he bought a new one. Never managed anything close to a half decent run. Forked out on some good rods and this welder. Great runs first time. Highly recommend with good rods.Tiny and light :-)

Great little welder for a beginner
Never having welded before this is ideal because it automatically cuts the power when I get an electrode stuck, and it increases the amps to get an arc started. It's the size of a small loaf of bread but I've used1.6mm and 2mm electrodes and it welds them well. I love the portability and ease of use. An excellent welder for the novice or casual user.

This is a nice little welder
This is a nice little welder, well made, small and light. Certainly a lot easier to both use and store than cheap 'buzz boxes' (transformer welders). My 10 year old son and I managed to get decent arcs going after a bit of practise using 2.5mm rods (Youtube videos on welding are great in this regard). Only issues were: 1. Welder arrived direct from France (where it is made) so had a 2 pin plug, despite description stating 3 pin UK plug. So I had to buy a Schuko adapter. 2. Leads are on the short side. If you are going to use this regularly it would be upgrading to a longer electrode lead to make welding more comfortable.

Small, light & powerful enough for me
This replaces a very old, very heavy SIP welder that would only comfortably handle 1.6 rods and even then soon overheated and tripped out, although recently it also liked tripping out the house circuit breakers, at first It took some believing that these Inverter Welders could be so remarkably light [3.5kg] and small but sure enough its true, and after using it, with my vast stock of 1.6 rods, I am well impressed, the fan starts up as soon as it is switched on and it strikes an arc quite easily, no more stabbing the workpiece.I was very fortunate to find this bargain price, same machine is much dearer elsewear, delivery was not 'lightening fast' but within the estimated time, the 80 amp rating will be adequate for my DIY use, if I want a deep weld I can do this with multi passes

Great little compact unit!
Very compact unit and surprisingly powerful.Great penetration on 3mm plate with a 2.5mm rod at approx 75% power.Appears to be well built so it’s jyst a test of time now.

Not yet able to discern what the various things are like "arcforce", "antistick" means it momentarily switches off doesn't ...
at half the size of a shoe box it really packs a punch, well able to handle the 2.5 mm rods at less than the suggested setting of 80 amps, quiet too. Not yet able to discern what the various things are like "arcforce", "antistick" means it momentarily switches off doesn't always guarantee its stick free tho.nice quality to the leads. Beginners might appreciate a symbol to show which lead goes where.
