Good storage space. I have a purple mattress that is kinda heavy. The shocks don't hold it up very well but it works for my needs. Easy assembly.

Don't expect it it to be in perfect condition upon arrival. There will most likely be some flaws like gouges in the coating of the metal or a pre-assembled screw put in crooked messing up the wood/plastic (see picture), or the wood not being centered. Not huge things, just annoying but definitely not a deal breaker. Overall it looks nice and I'd say it's worth the price. To me the assembly was easy. I did it at a leasury pace by myself and had it together in less than 1.5hrs. To the other ladies or not super muscular guys, the box is a bit heavy (around 100lbs) and long/awkward so you might grab someone to help you get it in the house or take it in piece by piece.In addition to the mattress we also have what I refer to as a mattress platform, it takes the place of a box spring but doesn't have springs (I added a picture for reference) so it's much lighter, probably between 10-20lbs. I'm not sure if it's due to the weight of the mattress being higher but it is super hard to lift the bed up, but *IF* you have the bed 5-6in from wall, once it's up all the way it stays up so I'd say the quality seems pretty good, if you have the frame against the wall it will still go up all the way but it will NOT stay up by itself, the extra hight causes the mattress to hit the wall putting pressure on it, so get a prop.

Fabulous, so much storage. Took 2 of us under an hour. Read directions, hydraulics should be put on last, after slates and mattress. Easy to open and close. Sturdy! Great value!!

Pic description: Large dent/crack in side of panel. We taped it on the inside with duct tape to reinforce it.So, I really had mediocre hopes going into this purchase because of other reviews. That being said my expectations were met. It's okay not great. Definitely mediocre. Yes it has a lot of storage underneath and that's fantastic HOWEVER if you plan on getting under it frequently/daily know there's some annoyances we have discovered. It isn't square (it wiggles side to side) so when you lift up the mattress and go to lower it, it can catch on the bolts used to hold the corner bracket/support in place. Or get caught up on the side and you'll have to shimmy it to get it back in place. If you don't plan on using it frequently (i.e seasonal items) then it's a great deal. As long as you don't have any damage like we did. Another annoyance is that we had to re-drill some of the holes to align them after we shimmy'd it to get it to close. All that to say it holds our couple hundred pound Queen Tempurpedic mattress just fine and we can open and close without issue.You absolutely get what you pay for. It's a quiet frame so no noise when getting on or off the bed. Or when our kids try jumping on it. All in all I'd begrudgingly buy it again if there weren't any others available.

So my son and I spent a little over two hours putting this together. We both were not looking forward to it at all. The bed was delivered with no issues (it’s super heavy). We had no quality issues; it was packaged perfectly and efficiently. We got it all together and then the piston thingies made the bed frame stuck in open/lifted position. We were both defeated! I took the pistons off. He needed a bed frame so we thought we’d just make his bed up. Once the mattress was on, we both lifted to see what we were dealing with (super heavy. I was brainstorming ways to modify or use daily (we needed that under bed storage horribly). I had him hold it open and I crawled in to see if one piston would hold it up once lifted. Bam, it started to close. We celebrated, so we put both pistons on and tightened with the bolts. We slowly opened and closed it a couple times, just to make sure. The weight of the mattress fixed it. After reading reviews that the company was not responsive to this problem, I was not looking forward to trying to get new. I don’t know why or how the weight fixed it. It was impossible to get it to budge otherwise. So, keep going. I hope the previous reviewer (a nice lady who posted a video) sees this and gets hers to work. It is now perfect. Lifting is an absolute breeze. One handed even. It also stays up/or open until you push down. I am concerned that the wood braces won’t be strong enough. My son is 6’1 and 240lbs. He broke his last Amazon metal frame with drawer storage under, but this has a much heavier weight limit, so fingers crossed. So much easier than those rolling under bed storage drawers. I will be looking to see if there is anyway I can attach his headboard to the frame itself.
