Moving to Linux
If you want to try Linux this is a great machine to use. Linux is really easy to install on an old iMac it's really responsive with no lag and if you're moving from Windows then Ubuntu is a distro that will be very familiar

Last of the easy to upgrade machines. takes up to 16gb RAM with an easy tp install SSD (screen lifts off) it turns into a flying machine again. Should be good for a good few years yet.
