It WORKS! I've nearly given up finding something to smooth and enhance my waves. Enter Kevin Murphy Motion Lotion. Not gonna lie - It STINKS. I was SO disappointed when I removed the seal and got a whiff. No offense to those who like this sort of smell, but it makes me think of old-school-expensive-perfume that you smell two aisles away in a store and gag and hold your breath until you can get far enough away. BUT I tried it anyway - on day 3 after wash day no less!Too impatient to wait till wash day, I dampened my hair with a mister and applied a small amount, brushing through with a denman brush. The more I scrunched the more waves kept forming! The texture felt soft instead of like straw! I have fine, 2a/2c low porosity hair that gets frizzy and dry and I have a difficult time getting it to form nice, defined wave sections. It usually ends up looking like a string mess or frizzy and dry if I brush or comb and use hairspray. I was very encouraged by my first use. I can't wait to try it on wash day. Maybe I'll come back and update.It appears to work well enough that I plan to keep using it in spite of the smell. I actually wondered about adding a few drops of essential oil to the bottle to try and mask the nasty odor, but that's probably not a good idea.

My curly hair gets frizzy and I have to use a lot of product but after my hairdresser used this one product on my hair, my curls were amazing and soft and light. I found it on Amazon and ordered it right away.

I like how this product keeps my curls without the wet/crunchy look (like Killer Curls), but when first applied, the smell is just awful….to me…(a stinky chemical smell). Thank goodness the smell dissipates after it dries! Because of that, I’ll keep using it.

My fine curly hair doesn’t get weighed down with this product. Put it in, twist your strands and BAM, curls that last and get better every day.

I have fine, wimpy, wavy, white girl hair. I want curls. I want the bouncy corkscrew curls I've had in humid climates and when the stars align just right. I've tried lots of products for curly hair but they're mostly for existing curls that want moisture and definition & they're mostly just too heavy for my fine hair. I want something that'll give those wimpy waves a boost & curl them up. Aveda's Humectant works pretty well (their curl specific stuff doesn't do anything for my hair) and adding mousse made for curls is also light enough to not weigh my hair down. Yeah, I don't know what's in this stuff but it curls my hair. It is VERY concentrated so a little goes a long, long way. Too much product & my hair is sticky & stiff. I discovered that it doesn't rinse out in the shower if I don't shampoo (I am down to once or twice a week like a good curly girl). I lightly coat my palms and finger-comb the ends while wet, air-dry and/or use a diffuser & I am once again a proud curly girl graduating from 2c to level 3.

Now this is WOW for the wavy haired or curly...shapes the curl just right and can comb through and just use a very small amount...sometimes it pays to buy the best and this is that sometimes!!
