Perfect brew and strong for filtered coffee
Perfect arabica aroma with robusta bitterness, it is good as filtered coffee but may not ideal for espresso. To make perfect cup, I used 7g coffee bean and 90ml water, adjust sugar to my liking.

Pleasntly surprised
I will try and not make this a long review but, some background is in order, first of all, I have tried just about every brand of Italian bean there is, some I like some i don't. Not fond of the Nothern Italian brands, Lavazza and Illy, also the Italian pallete and blends are much different than what we have in the US. They often blend in roubusta for caffienne and to add a little intensiveness. There are some bad reviews for this coffee, and I can tell you ordering coffee from any where unless you know for a fact it is roasted to order can be a mixed dare I say bag. Some is pretty good some is flat out awful. Why, shelf life, storage and how well the bag is sealed. So after all that, coffee taste has so many variables its really, really hard to rate coffee, like I said, how fresh is the bean, what water are you using, what machine, and most important what grinder, oh and how are you storing it.I recieved this two pack locked together in plastic, one bag was clearly not sealed very well the other was tight as a drum. The first bag, was flat out stale, no aroma, a decent taste and ok for milk based drinks, very, very dark shots from my super auto machine, not a lot of crema and not a lot of body, did not pass the sugar test if you know wha that is. The second, bag....oh the second bag, I opened it just now, i used a really bad grinder, and made a pot of Stove top epspresso or a Moka Pot of coffee, honestly it was delicious, no sugar no milk straight black "cafe". It had nice aroma right from the bag, which is an indicator of good things ahead or suffering, there were even minor flecks of oil on the beans. What I would recomend when you order coffee from any vendor Amazon, WLL, etc is open coffee if its bad send it back, WLL is notorious for selling old coffee on sale so are some vendors on Amazon, thats why they have best by instaed of roast date. Its really the luck of the draw. I did see the other roaster from Bolonga is out of stock here at Amazon so, if you order you will most likely be getting some decent stuff. Ciao

Order when you can, stock gets limited and its one of the best cups you'll ever drink
This coffee is amazing. It is probably the perfect dark roast coffee for me. It is strong, bold and has kick with no aftertaste or bitterness. It's also the most caffeinated cup of coffee I've had in a long time and it tastes exceptionally rich and creamy. I wish it was more consistently in stock as I would get a regular subscription.

Tastes awful no matter how you pull it.
I’ve been a LaVazza drinker for years. Occasionally try other brands, like Intelligentsia, Coffee Kult, Illy’s, etc, and like those also. This is unequivocally the worst tasting espresso I’ve ever tasted. Yuck. I’m an experienced espresso person, and use a Rocket R65 twin boiler, rotary pump machine with a LaMarzocco portafilter. The coffee was fresh when I pulled the shots, yet it still tasted harsh and bitter. The brew boiler was set to put 195 degree water over the grounds, and the pull was 25 seconds for a double shot, so grind and tamp were correct. It did make good crema, but the taste was off. Perhaps they are using way too much robusta, and not enough arabica. It makes a strange brew.

Good!!
Great espresso, it reminds me of my aunt's cafe in Italy..she always used Segafredo!Good crema and flavour, I'll buy it again!Awesome to improve my poor latte art skills!Get a good machine AND grinder to get the most of your beans! ;)

Check before you grind.
Been wanting to try other brands of coffee not offered at my local WM, so i bought this, it taste good but check your beans before you grind them. Ive been using this coffee for a few days and after grinding went to put a few scoops in my pour over and I saw shards of wood and double checked that it wasn't the bean itself (wood was lighter in color). Just check the beans before you grind them up.

Simply dreadful
I typically purchase Illy or Lavazza but decided to try this out for something different based on the reviews I read. I find the flavor of this coffee to be inferior to most supermarket coffees. Doesn't seem to matter which brewing method or grind I try. Taste is subjective so others may find this coffee appealing but I found it to be unpalatable.
