I highly recommend this monumental work to those students whose personal dharma leads them toward the unification of Christianity with the various Ageless Wisdom traditions reflected in Hinduism, Buddhism and Theosophy. I would point out a marked similarity between the beliefs expressed in this book and those laid out in great detail in the books written by the Tibetan master, Djwhal Khul, through Alice A. Bailey. For those who prefer a shorter study, I recommend Yogananda’s condensed book “The Yoga of Jesus”, which at 160 pages, is only one-tenth the length of “The Resurrection of the Christ Within You”.Through this studious explanation of the Gospels, Christians can begin to see that the Christ Jesus was an Initiate; a Yogi Who was possessed of far greater secrets than those that are openly shared in the Holy Bible. We can all begin to understand that Jesus taught His disciples many deeper truths, including the science of yoga as well as other concrete information about the underlying structure of life, the human body and its energy centers and how to raise the kundalini (or serpent force) within the etheric channels in the spine. Christians are also given ample evidence of reincarnation as a fundamental belief among the Jews of the time, as well as the early Christians.Furthermore, the form of Kriya Yoga which Paramahansa Yogananda alludes to in this book, and teaches in his Lessons, he asserts is virtually identical to the method used by Bhagavan Krishna, the Christ Jesus as well as many saints and mystics from diverse Paths, to achieve Their liberation from form through union with Spirit. Yogananda states that the techniques of Kriya Yoga can be used by disciples to eventually achieve union with the Aum Vibration, the Christ Consciousness, and then the ultimate goal of union with the Cosmic Consciousness of the Father.

Everything came in perfect conditions, the two books are truly profound although i don't have the intellect nor the intelligence to comprehend and understand the 2 books, from the very little that i did understand it blew my mind

I am extremely selective in reading 'spiritual' and religious teachings. To me, at least, religion seems to attract authors or religious leaders with their own 'not always' spiritual agendas. For this reason before buying this type of book I spend a great deal of time on researching the author and forming an opinion on the likely motives in writing the book. I prefer not to fill my head with nonsense and spend time doing so if it can be avoided. On researching Paramahansa (Paramhansa ?) Yogananda in some depth I concluded that his intentions were worthy and entirely genuine.Onto his book ... I love the 'kind', emotionally positive style of his writing. None of the 'hell and damnation' sort of thing if you don't do as your told. It's more about the true teachings of Jesus Christ from an Indian perspective, meditation and the effects your way of living affects your Karma. It's obviously a bit more than this being over 1600 pages in length but hopefully you get the idea.A lot of what Paramahansa writes intuituvely feels right to me. I feel that I have learnt a lot. For me, a life changing book. Reading is probably the easy bit. Putting it into practice is going to be a bit harder.Recommended wholeheartedly.
