Works great, but instructions not great
We got this for our detached garage that was getting unbearably hot in the summer. The product itself has proven to be an exceptional investment, but the instructions it comes with are not. The instructions it comes with only tell you how to install on a metal or tile roof...nothing on an asphalt shingled roof. YouTube was the guiding light for that. I like the fact that it has a plug and remote - the hope is to be able to use it in the winter to suck out car exhaust when preheating the vehicles. Unit is quiet, makes an impressive difference in the heat/stuffiness of the garage, and worth the investment, especially at this price point (solar exhaust fans are more expensive at the big box stores).

Terrible
I had previously purchased another unit also from the same company. It stopped working within a month. The company said they would send out another unit, which was never received. Amazon refunded my purchase amount and thinking that it was just a bad unit I ordered another it doesn't work either. I just left it on the roof as a static unit. Save yourself time, money and aggravation don't purchase one of these anchors.

Works great except the remote
Helped get heat out of attic space. The remote didn’t work.

Very nice for the price
So far it’s been great. I ordered two for my roof, and where the box looked in proper shape the plate was bend up pretty decently in the box. I was able to hammer it back into perfectly usable shape without the need of returning it for a new one. Install was very easy and the fans are quiet and don’t make much noise inside or out. Most handy persons will be able to install on their own, but if your not sure about cutting a hole in your roof then you might want to call a local contractor to hook these up for you.

Attic air recirculating
I like the way this fan continues to bring fresh air into our attic space and by doing that, it stays dry in the winter and cooler in the summer!

Good exhaust fan with some flaw
The fan was easy to install, and I’m happy to report there were no leaks after a recent rainstorm. It’s a powerful unit with four speed settings, all controlled by a remote, and it can even run at full power solely on solar energy, which is a huge plus. However, one drawback is its built-in thermostat. When the room starts to warm up, but doesn’t reach a high enough temperature, the fan cycles on and off repeatedly throughout the day. This constant on-off can get a bit frustrating, as I’d prefer it to just stay on at the lowest setting instead. The frequent switching can be a bit distracting, especially since the noise of it turning on and off is noticeable.
