I know what tropical fruit should taste like at its best
I was born in the tropics. I know what tropical fruit should taste like at its best. the stuff that is imported here seldom is at it s best . it has to be picked and shipped before ite ready/ripe usually. Well Rubicon owned by Barr drinks brought out a coconut water drink. Based on previous experience with their mango and guava; I bought some. Rubicon's was vile and tasted of old brown furry coconuts mangled whole. If you didnt know what coconut water should taste of,it would put you off it for life , SO I CANT PRAISE VITA COCO ENOUGH. My first twp packs were bought from Aldi and were a near perfect flavour. Aldi ran out and so I ordered 8 litres of Vitacoco on line . Not quite the same flavour but it is a natural product and slight variation in flavour can be expected. Also this came with a flip up lid rather than the screwcap that i prefer but it tasted extremely good. I will order more in due course.Dont touch rubicon's however low they pit it on offer; you'd be wasting your money. I challenged them over it and Rubicon didnt care

Vital daily essential
What can I say this is now an essential part of our daily routine. My husband finds that if we run out his muscles start seizing up. It hydrates so well. I order it on subscription now so we never run out and it works out a lot cheaper too. Both my husband and son were not sure they liked it at first but when they saw the health benefits they kept drinking it, now they love it, but only this one, others do not taste as nice or have things added. We are cutting back on sugar and this has a naturally sweet taste so when we crave a bit of sweetness out comes the vita Coco!

Good quality and much cheaper than the health food shop
My headline says it all! I am not saying 5 stars because I do not LOVE coconut water, I use it as part of a protein shake. So it serves the purpose. It tastes like ti should and much cheaper to buy here than the health food shop......so I am happy.

Unusual taste
After reading the reviews I thought I would give it a try. However, I nearly heaved when I first started to drink it. I really don't like the taste. I am trying to persevere with it, but its hard work. I bought 4 liters of it, so its going to be tough getting through it. I don't think I'm drinking it at a fast enough rate to notice whether it has improved my skin or not.It states on the packaging that "its like drinking through a straw straight from the coconut"......it tastes nothing like the coconut milk that I have drank out of fresh coconuts. Now when I drink it, I drink a smoothie straightaway afterwards to take away the taste.I have tried mixing it with other things, but hasnt worked for me either.I'm sure if you like the taste, then this would be a great product to buy.The packaging was really good. Its use-by date is 8 months from now.

Country of origin keeps changing but tastes OK.
Thought I would try a pack of 4. It came very quickly (two days) which is excellent with free postage, and a very good price. I see it is product of the Philippines and the cartons are Tetra Pak with screw cap, but the juice tastes just as good as the stuff in square type cartons we see in UK supermarkets. Best before date is 09/15.EDIT 16 Sept 2015: I bought more of this product at the same price (and free postage). Using a 4 for 3 deal it cost me £30 for 16 cartons - best price yet. Delivered the very next day. This time the country of origin is Brazil so will see what it tastes like.EDIT 29 Feb 2016: I bought another 8 packs for £20, i.e. £2.50 each. Four days standard (free) delivery. This time they are marked 'Made in Sri Lanka' and also 'Born in Brazil' whatever that means. Good value and tastes fine.

BEST. DRINK. EVER.
What can I say, I am a coconut water addict. It took me a while to enjoy it as I expected a coconut milk type of taste, what I didn't realise was that coconut milk is made from the cocoNUT itself ground to a pulp. It is delicious but fattening, coconut water is found in the middle of the coconut itself. I enjoyed many a coconut in India - great for hydrating. It tastes sweet but watery at the same time, but I enjoyed knowing that I was doing my body good and 1 serving has more potassium than 2 bananas! Plus Rihanna advertises this stuff, so if it's good enough for her...Also - I will 100% be buying my coconut water fix from Amazon in the future as it is sooooo hard to find in local supermarkets, I think the only one within a 30 mile radius that sells it near me is Waitrose and we all know how expensive they are.Take my advice and drink this, take up yoga, become vegetarian (or vegan even better) and trust me you will be looking and feeling AMAZINGGGGGGGGG!!! :)

Vita Coco is a syrup drink, disgusting, rancid and yellow
When you read 'coconut water' you think two things. Coconut. Water. This product is neither. It's a rancid yellow liquid that doesn't even move like water. The taste is hard to describe. Coconut? Not even vaguely. It's sweet and bitter at the same time. I was determined to try it despite the look and smell because it cost so much. I bought the 4 liters. I have tried diluting it and using juice to hide the flavour. As coconut water from a fresh coconut is one of my favourite things, the disappointment is staggering. The advertising is misleading. THIS PRODUCT CONTAINS 1% FRUIT SYRUP. I assume this is what gives it the awful smell, look and flavour. It also contains Vitamin C. But as the fruit syrup has obliterated everything I wanted from this product it may as well be 100% fruit syrup -- because you can't tell there's anything resembling a coconut in this drink.I don't normally write reviews but this time I felt I absolutely had to. BE WARNED. I read a couple of the 1 star reviews before I bought this and thought - it can't be like that. It's got lots of 5 star points. Yet it is exactly as I've described. If you enjoy drinks that look like stale sweat or weak urine, with the most rancid of flavours - stack it in your basket. On a separate note, the company that sold it was very efficient. This star rating is based solely on the product and not the company.
