Both are very stylish and kettle is a lovely quieter boil than are previous kettle would recommend

A good-sized toaster with space for 4 items at a time but the slots are not long ones.The machine has a wider base than the top which to begin with I saw as a waste of space but I can also now see that the product is more stable with this design.There are 3 toasting buttons per pair of slots, including one for frozen food and another to cancel. There is also a twistable control which sets the browning level.In use the toaster takes an average amount of time to work. It is not a rapid toaster but better than are older one which we’ve had for over 20 years!Unfortunately, the heating elements are not consistent with one another. The outer heating panels heat up quicker than those on the inside of a pair of slots. Also, not all ‘bars’ heat up at the same rate. We have found it necessary to either accept toast browner on one side than another or redo the process to achieve a more even result.Overall a good smart appliance, but could be better.

So far this toaster seems to be performing as described. It would have been nice if the slots had been just a little bit wider but it’s an excellent replacement for my old one

Had to return as the slots were not big enough to accommodate the bread we buy . Such a shame as it looked so stylish and a great colour.

The Salter EK5742GRY Rapid Boil Kettle Is made to a high standard and looks very stylish. It boils quickly and is no more noisier than our current kettle. I particularly like the textured design and wide base but unfortunately it has a I litre minimum boil volume which is twice our current kettle. When you are boiling a kettle most often for one person this minimum is too high, and in an area with very hard water will also lead to a faster build up of scale. Otherwise it is a lovely looking kettle but is better suited to those who are regularly boiling more water than us.
