HUGE improvement over the original pitcher. SO GLAD I bought it.
The base is much more durable. I expect this one to last forever.

Nice alternative to the OEM options for my Vitamix.
Nice alternative to the OEM options for my Vitamix. This fits my blender fine and works well. Yes, it is made in China. It's a cheaper alternative to the OEM product.I love my Vitamix, but I do need to save money where I can. This is a nice option for an extra blender pitcher.

Great for smaller servings
Nice size, ideal for smoothies, soup purees and individual servings. Only drawback is the lid is challenging to open.

Very pleasantly surprised
I have a Vitamix Professional and somehow the container has gotten misplaced, so I needed a replacement. Honestly I was not expecting much when I ordered this. I have read reviews online and the non Vitamix containers seem to not get very good ones. Also, the equivalent Vitamix container is about $150, so I figured I would try this at about $50. I was very surprised when it arrived.First, the box seemed quite heavy for its size, a good sign I thought. Upon opening it, I did get a whiff of plastic, understandable as this probably was in a shipping container for months.Opening it, the top is nice and thick, made of a black almost rubbery polyethylene. There is a raised rim around the edge of the top which fits into a channel, on the container. t fits snugly into the container. A clear plastic dome covers the opening in the top.I was really impressed by the container itself. The polycarbonate used is very substantial. I was expecting a lightweight clone but it isn't. It is hefty and feels sturdy in your hand. I noticed the base has 8 supporting ridges, something the Vitamix version does not. The blade is attached to the container using the same metal nut as the Vitamix, the drive gear is also metal like the Vitamix. The blade itself looks a lot like the one on the Vitamix. It is one piece and I compared the shape to pictures of the blade in the Vitamix and the shape looks very similar. It fit my Professional base perfectly.Ok, so how does it work? I made some taco soup and a bandanna smoothie and both came out fine. I could not do a side by side test because I no longer have the original Vitamix container, but when blending, I did not hear any weird noises and both things came out as expected. If you need a replacement or want to get a smaller container (this is 48 ounce as opposed to the standard 64 ounce Vitamix), I think you would be happy with this, I am.

Not for Vitamix 5000
The base of this pitcher is not the same as the vitamix 5000 base. As seen in the pictures, this pitcher has a metal ridge that wears off a plastic fitting on the vitamix 5000. I used it to make a smoothie and saw that it was damaging the vitamix. In my observation, the blade is not as sharp and it doesn't spin as easily as the vitamix.

Good OEM Replacement, Lid Needs Improvement
I have an Experian Series E320, model VM0197, and this fits perfectly. It has oz/cup measurements on one side, and L/ml measurements on the other, just like the OEM. It also has a 2-piece lid to make cleaning easier, but it doesn’t have the rubber side clips. Without those clips, the lid is very hard to remove. After I splashed an ice-cold smoothie all over me & my kitchen counter, I learned to hold the lid in place with a towel instead of pushing it firmly into the pitcher. The only way I could get the lid off after the smoothie incident was to unscrew the clear piece then pull the lid up from the inside. The blade configuration of this pitcher compared to the OEM looks the same and it performs just as good. My only issue is how difficult the lid is to remove, which is why I deducted 1 star. Other than that, it’s a good deal since it costs significantly less than OEM.

Hard to tell it from the original...
I got this to use as a dedicated dry grains container for my Vitamix blender. Everything about it is on par with the quality of the larger container that came "OEM" from the manufacturer with my blender. I am using it on a "classic" model and everything fits about the same as the original. The only slight problem I've had with it is at the point where it seats into the drive gear, there has been a slight amount of plastic that was shaved off of the flange that surrounds the drive gear. This is not a problem or even really a concern and it's not really damaging anything important. It just shows that there are sometimes tiny variations in measurements that make non-OEM parts slightly less ideal than OEM parts due to engineering variances. Overall, this is a fine substitute and the damage that was done is slight, non-critical, and won't impact anything functional. It just left a little groove on the flange that wasn't there prior to me testing this new container and a hint of a scent of hot plastic while it was rubbing itself free. No big deal, still willing to rate it 5 stars due to the quality and value.

Fits and functions as expected
Gotta 5200 model VM, and don't have any issues with this pitcher mating up to the base unit. Everything spins along as it should. The pitcher sure seems of high-quality plastic, and the blade/bearing of high-quality metals. So for starts we give it 5 stars, and return to modify that if stuff starts going wrong.
