Flavor explosion, thick & “50,000 SHU” spicy!
Warning: This is pretty SPICY. I absolutely dig this stuff. But it is way too hot for my hubby and other members of my family. You are duly warned.Scoville heat units (SHU) for this item: 10,000-50,000. If you don’t know what that means, this is probably too hot for you. A SHU heat level in this range lands around cayenne (not cayenne flavor, though. Just cayenne heat). That said, it’s also very flavorful. If you like it HOT, chances are you’ve had spicy salsa that is one dimensional... it’s only spicy with no depth of flavor underneath the heat. This one actually has layers of flavor. It’s got notes of onion & garlic, balanced with the acidity of vinegar/lime. Personally I don’t taste the lime separately from the vinegar, but the profile is bright and crisp under the heat if that makes sense. It’s more of a cilantro/coriander salsa, definitely NOT a heavy smoke flavor, not cumin based. I love the bright acidity of this one, absolutely delicious. And the real magic here IMHO is the thickness. This salsa has substance. It is thick, not watery. It “holds up,” so if you pour it over eggs, it will add height to your eggs, it won’t disappear into the nooks and crannies of your food (not watery like Tabasco or Tapatio). And you can see the diced chilies and onions in the texture. That puts it over the top for me ... it’s not just a hot SAUCE. It is actually a hot SALSA.If you don’t like it hot, keep looking. But if you want a hot green salsa that is flavorful, thick, chunky, bright and goes BOOM in your mouth, this is it. Bottom line: this stuff is EXCELLENT. My favorite hot green salsa of all time.

Be warned, this stuff is hot.
This salsa is hot. As a glutton for punishment I ordered this to try it with my friends. We all gathered around and took turns dipping a tortilla chip in, I took the conservative approach and made sure I didn't "scoop" up any extra.First, the smell: This stuff smells wonderfully fiery. Definitely a sinus clearer.First Bite: Very nice peppery flame that quickly turns itself into what I can imagine eating a hot coal feels like. Oh boy, what did I do?At this point, only two of us were not running for relief. We even had one in tears.Second bite: Why. Why did I do this? This wasn't smart. After 15 minutes and the burn subsided, I went back again. Aided by liquid courage that comes in the form of a fermented beverage I went in for my final taste. Just as hot. I may have permanently lost taste buds. I can't wait to have it again.

Da Bomb... and Its Smoky, Desolated Aftermath
I didn't like this salsa. I'm not going to be one of those dummies that complains about how hot it was, because "Naga Jolokia". I knew what I was getting into as far as heat goes. But what I didn't expect was for this salsa to have such an odd flavor. It tastes way too smoky. Salsa in not supposed to be smoky. I guess it does taste like a bomb, but not only because it is hot; it also has the flavor of the smoke rising up from the demolished city the bomb was dropped on. Not a good flavor for salsa at all. Salsa is supposed to taste fresh and spicy. The only thing this stuff would be good for is as a marinade for carnitas (pulled pork tacos). Also (the squeamish run now) the morning after the salsa is consumed is a morning of pain. It gave both my husband and myself diarrhea and nausea. I was throwing up when the only thing in my stomach was water! I thought we might have gotten sick or something, but after about an hour (when we had passed all of the consumed salsa into the toilet) the symptoms stopped. I will not be buying this again or anything else from the Da Bomb line. When I bought Da Bomb, I did not want it to explode out my ass.

Addicting, need refund bad packaging
Got this as a gift as I love “da bomb”I use it frequently to spice up my sauces and soups, and I was so surprised how delicious it was. Ate it so fast and ordered 2 more jars for my sis and I. For some reason they arrived separately 2 days apart and the 2nd order came in with the jar leaking, so I plan to throw it away if there’s no way to return, but I’m just hoping for a refund or a replacement to be sent. Thank you! I will update review if done so. Salsa is 5 ⭐️

Not to hot and it taste incredible!
I was worried that this salsa would be all heat and no flavor. Much to my chagrin (cause it’s expensive), it taste awesome! It’s a lot more expensive than my usual fare from Walmart. It has a lot more heat and great flavor. It’s my new go to salsa for breakfast. It’s hot, but not nearly as hot as the hot sauce by the same name. I would call it Thai hot, but not pepper head hot. It will jack up your average gringo but any pepper head will be fine.
