Going strong and perfect for portability
Well the battery is fine on mine, holds its charge and lasts for hours. Best bit is I can move the dot anywhere within WiFi range and it works seamlesslyWould recommend, especially when it’s on a deal

Battery run time.
Good add to Dot 5th generation to make it cordless. Battery a little disappointed as even on low speaker lasts max 5 hrs when fully charged.

Great bit of kit!
I have 3 echo dots and love them. Was fed up with trailing an extension lead into the garden for my music. I had no idea this even existed and although it's a bit expensive I got it. It's fantastic! Totally portable and works all over my garden which is L shaped and not small! I get 2 afternoons of constant playing out of one charge and the volume isn't compromised. It's amazing just how loud the echo dot is! Good buy!

Great! I use this when I’m working from home. My echo dot usually lives in my bedroom, but if I’m working at home I like to have my echo dot with me for reminders/music. The battery lasts around 8 hours which is exactly what I need

Great sound in any room
On the positive - It's great to have the echo dot in any room,sounds great and stays charged all day when in use.On the negative - If left on standby it does lose charge.No idea why.Also I think it's a bit pricey but I bought it anyway.It loses a star because of the price.

Poor battery life.
Disappointingly short battery life. If fully charged and left overnight on standby in the morning the battery is completely discharged. I purchased this to reduce the amount of visible wires in our newly refurbished kitchen, but it seems to need to spend most of the time connected via the echo charging cable. So didn't really achieve my objective.
