Item died instantly even with battery replacement. Not worth the money.

My son loves tic-tac-toe, but paper isn't always available. This little handheld game is perfect for travel and out and about. Now we can play a few quick games with no paper and no mess.

I tried to like this.. but it’s just not great. What do like is the portable size, the quality, the ease of use, and the concept. What I didn’t like is that when playing 2 player tic tac toe, it doesn’t keep all of your Xs and Os lit. Each space is like timed or something, so after a certain amount of moves, the first one you marked disappears… then after another couple moves, the next one you originally marked is gone too. This was tough to get used to (especially trying to play with a toddler that doesn’t understand why their Xs keep disappearing). Would not recommend.

Wonderful gadget to bring along when you know you will need to wait or kill time.

This is similar to the tic tac toe bolt brand name game. It is about the same size, good for travel, and you can play it with one or two players. It takes two AAA batteries not included, the battery cover is easy to remove as there is no screw holding it in place. We have been using it frequently for the past two months and the batteries are still going strong. This is a great take in the car toy but I wouldn’t leave it in a hot car. This is game says it is for ages 3 and up but I would put this more in the age range of 6 and up. The memory game is great to play and it gives you time to look and remember. Whack Amole is interesting as I have never played this game before and am not crazy about playing it. The best game is the tic tac toe and it keeps on going until someone wins. You can keep choosing squares and when no one has one the old X or Os disappear to be replaced by your choices again. I ordered a case and kept it hanging near the front door so I could grab it when I had the two grandkids traveling with me in the car. It does make some sounds and I do not find the sounds annoying while driving. There is only an on/off switch and if the sound can be turned off I haven’t found the way to do so. I am going to order a second one as they sometimes each want to play along at the same time.

If I could give zero stars, I would. It was a stocking stuffer and doesn’t even work. It will turn on but no matter what I do the buttons do not respond at all. Hard press, gentle press…nothing. Don’t waste your money.
