There are AV companies out there that will charge $1500 to provide an av switcher for the day that essentially does what this little box does at a purchase cost of less than a Benjamin. Granted, this might not be as sophisticated, complicated and fully featured, but that can also be a plus: less opportunity for the AV Tech to press the wrong button!Brilliantly simplistic, this little metal box was clearly designed by engineers and not by marketing. It has little tiny lights to tell you where you are and a simple switching mechanism to choose your inputs and outputs. Even better, it has a small remote control so that you can switch things from across the room. That's all most of us need, people!It would be hard to justify charging any kind of big bucks for this little hand sized device, but it will get the job done. Maybe you could set a big rack of old analog equipment on the AV Table to make it LOOK like you provided something expensive?

Used this to get a cool gaming set up going for a multiplayer night. I detected a slight bit of lag between setups but it wasn't noticeable enough as it was mainly for younger family. Pretty cool though to have every group have their own screens though. Quality was great overall, didn't feel like there was any lost on the split. It can get tricky to get everything set up exactly but if you do it one at a time and check along the way pretty easy.

This switch does exactly what I hoped and has the added bonus of randomly making up to all 4 monitors go black at random. It usually happens while I’m working on something and takes up to 2 minutes to get signal back. Very disappointed.

I tried to use it with my Firestick and it wouldn’t work. In fact now my Firestick won’t work at all anymore.

Having used this HDMI matrix for over a month now I can say for sure, it’s exactly what I needed. I have multiple displays connected to my PC and at times need to change how they are arranged, and which are in use. This matrix does that perfectly. 3 inputs from my PC to 2 different monitors and one drawing tablet on my desk. The 4th input is for my game consoles on my desk (connected though an additional HDMI switch) and the 4th output is to a TV in the other room. With the press of a button I can switch any of my monitors (or game a console) to one of my monitors, or TV without the hassle of trying to configure windows to manage multiple display settings.

One of the frustrating parts of using multiple consoles and electronic devices on a shared monitor is switching between them. It's really annoying at times because so many of the components are shared but you can't really have enough ports. This works great to overcome that. The image quality and sound are amazing!

With this HDMI Matrix switch I will be able to connect 2 computers with my 3 monitors and one big screen TV. Still have the ability to add 2 more computers if and when the time comes. But this one allows me to add the same output on all monitors and the TV the same output or allows me to change the outputs from either computer to any numbers of monitors to display all 4 screens in any combinations to view. Each screen can have something different or share in any way I see fit. That is all done with the remote control. I like during extreme weather to put on the radar on the big screen and still keep going with everything else I am doing. I can do this with either computer or up to 4 computers in so many different combinations, it is almost crazy. I use a switch to do my inputs with USBs now and has made my life so much better. I could never go back to using one monitor again, as it makes it impossible to work like that. Being able to have two computers doing the work for me I can do so much more than just one thing at the same time and this unit will accomplish that. The biggest problem is many more cables and I am still adding more cables to do it all, but I can add more as I go along too. Right now I can share 1 monitor between both computers shared and when I get more cables here I will be able to add more monitors till all 4 are hooked up. I like it so much as many times I want to show something I am watching and with this I can slam it up on the big screen and show them, without them having to get up just to see something I think is cool. I hope this really helps as I already know it is going to help me. I gave it a 4 star because I don't have it all hooked up yet but if it all works just right, it will be 10 stars for me. This seems like it would be great for the price. Wrong. First thing I noticed is you HAVE to plug this into an outlet and the cord it comes with is only about 2 feet long. Maybe slightly longer. The second thing I noticed is there’s no on/off switch. The red LEDs are always on and they are BRIGHT. The third thing is that it doesn’t support CEC control. When I turn off my AppleTV the actual TV no longer turns off. The setting is turned on on both devices and the switcher I had before allowed it to work just fine. It’s not my settings. Hopefully you don’t spend $80 on this thinking it’s a normal, basic function-having HDMI switcher. It’s not.
