Incomplete Game Gear Repair Kit - Missing Capacitor!
While this Universal Game Gear Repair Kit initially seemed like a good value, it unfortunately turned out to be incomplete, preventing me from finishing my Game Gear motherboard repair. Here's a breakdown of what was included and what was missing:Electrolytic Capacitors:Received:* 7x 25V 10uF* 1x 25V 68uF* 1x 6.3V 820uF* 1x 25V 22uF* 2x 50V 0.47uF* 1x 35V 22uF* 1x 25V 33uF* 1x 50V 4.7uFExpected (for motherboard repair):* 1x 6.3V 33uF* 3x 6.3V 10uF* 2x 6.3V 100uF (MISSING)* 1x 6.3V 68uF* 1x 6.3V 22uF* 1x 35V 4.7uF (a 50V 4.7uF was included which is likely suitable)* 2x 50V 0.47uFAluminium Capacitors:These were included as advertised, but are intended for the power board, not the motherboard. The Issue:The kit was missing the crucial 6.3V 100uF electrolytic capacitors, which are essential for recapping the Game Gear motherboard. This omission rendered the kit useless for its intended purpose, as I couldn't complete the repair without those specific capacitors.Customer Service:I contacted the seller about the missing capacitors, and they were responsive and offered a full refund. While I appreciate their willingness to resolve the issue, it's still disappointing that the kit wasn't complete in the first place.Recommendation:If you're looking for a complete Game Gear repair kit, I would advise double-checking the included components or considering a different kit altogether. While the seller offered a refund, the missing capacitor meant I wasted valuable time and couldn't complete my repair.
