The product is just as described. Yes, it comes in two pieces for ease of shipping, the pole part screws tightly into the base which is a welded threaded bolt. Once you tighten the pole to the base with a decent amount of torque the pole is then actually hard to take back off, which is good. If you are planning on experiencing high winds, you will want to use the anchor holes on the base to attach to the surface you will be placing it on. If you expect high winds and cannot use the anchor holes, then you will most likely want to select a different base that is the old-fashioned will with water/sand/concrete kind. This base does weight close to 50lbs assembled and I use it hold up a 11x9ft umbrella without issue. Great build quality, great steel materials and thick powder coating. If you are in need of a flat minimal base that is durable this is the base for you. I am actually surprised by the number of negative reviews on this base.....must be user error. No, this base is not going to work for an offset or cantilever umbrella, you will need a base that has a weighs couple of hundred pounds depending on the weight of your umbrella.

Solid and good price point. Love the flat bottom. Got lucky with length of stem as it fits perfectly (well maybe 1/8 inch too high with rod iron table. Table legs sit on flat bottom or else this would have floated. Buyers should measure before buying. Agian we got lucky

This holds my patio umbrella in place nicely. I love that it is flat because my deck is small & this doesn't get in my way.

This product is heavy, but literally built like crap lol. The main support bar that mounts to the base was sideways and crooked. When you would spin it, you’d have to spin it at different angles no matter how straight you started mounting it. Had my umbrella set up for about a week and it kept kicking over in super low southern california winds which is extremely mild where I at. It finally gave out and flipped over my balcony where it almost hit one of my neighbors. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this product!!!!!

its flat and heavy, just what you need for under a table. The cylinder screws into the base which has a poorly spot welded nut. It's not necessarily perpendicular to the base. Slightly angled maybe just a degree. But with a pole thats about 8 feet long you can really notice.

This item arrived very fast and was nicely packaged. Unfortunately it did not work for what I needed and where I needed to place it. However it was as described and well made. I did go ahead and return and was very surprised with how fast they handle the return. Thank you for such great customer service.

Great weight, ordered two, both were covered in fiberglass particle which made me cringe… why? Such a health hazard. The posts also have a lot of rust on the inside so I’m going to assume given the metal is presently rusted this is why others are stating this item seems to rust quickly… unsure I would buy again should these rust.
