Cuisinart Soho 1 Liter Double Wall Electric Kettle, Truffle

Really liking this kettle. Easy & no frills operation makes it a pleasure to use. It heats quickly, doesn't have some weird garish design, doesn't spurt or dribble water all over the counter top, rotates easily in the base so that you can point the steam away from your cabinets while it's heating, has a seamless interior without the bulky heating elements, so it's easy to clean. Boiled water tastes clean and I find the kettle easy to fill from my pitcher brita filter, but I can see how the limited opening range on the lid could pose a challenge with certain water dispensers.I bought this to get back into drinking tea to satisfy my hand-to-mouth addiction. Its a lot faster and more convenient than boiling on the stove and more pleasant than the microwave.

Love this non plastic stainless steel electric kettle.Spent so much time looking for a kettle that didn’t have any plastic in contact with the water (nothing, not on the lid or viewing measurements) it was nearly impossible to find one.This one is pretty and durable - good quality, works as planned, heats up pretty fast (1-2 mins depending on how much water). Easy to clean (I only use it for water, so just need to wipe outside) and at a great price point for a well known household brand.I bought this for Xmas gifts for my mom and mother in law so they can start removing plastics from their kitchens too..Ps. one call out is that there’s no measuring window, but that was ok for me, since it keeps the integrity of the jar (all stainless steel, no plastic!) and that was the main reason for getting this.

I was skeptical about this kettle but having used it a few times I have to say It works very well to boil water. In fact, it makes a lot of noise, as in the sound of water boiling, when coming to the boil and lets out a lot of steam. The on and off switch works easily, and it shuts off when the water reaches the boiling point. It fits easily when moving the kettle off and on the base. I really like the white light at the switch because I noted some other kettles have an annoying blue light or bright yellow. The design of the kettle is attractive, and the lid opens with a lever and then can be opened further by lifting the lid by hand and it closes by pushing down with your hand. I chose this kettle for the simplicity of boiling water, many of the other kettles have far too many buttons for various options which means the base of the kettle takes up a lot more space to accommodate the many options. Overall, I am pleased with the kettle, and I am reassured that it does actually bring the water to a boil as I drink black tea and boiling water is essential. One negative for me is the color. The color is described as "truffle" but that makes no sense, as truffles are darker, nevertheless I hoped for a little more color when in fact the kettle is pretty much white, maybe just barely off white. I am definitely not crazy about the 'color' or lack of color but will live with it as the kettle is otherwise well designed.

I received this kettle as a gift, and it was the appliance I didn't know I needed! It works wonderfully, the design itself being sleek and easy to grip and maneuver. It's light and able to be stored away fairly easily. It heats up water quickly with just the flip of a switch, and if you're afraid of leaving it to over-boil, fear not, because it turns itself off after it's finished heating! I think this is a lovely kettle to have on hand, whether you're making water for you tea, cocoa, or ramen noodles!

After doing some research on electric kettles, I decided to go with this Cusinart electric kettle, and I am very satisfied with my purchase. It’s perfect for daily use—boils water in seconds, has no plastic inside the water reservoir, and it’s sleek design adds a nice aesthetic touch to my kitchen counter.

We bought the Cuisinart Soho 1 Liter Double Wall Electric Kettle (Truffle) four months ago. We use it several times a day. It works well. The design is good: The water touches only stainless steel. There is no plastic or rubber. There is no black plastic on the parts one would normally touch. It heats quickly. The kettle has no chemical smell.One downside is that it boils for about 5 seconds before shutting off, putting out steam. We live at 100m elevation.If our kettle stops working, I will immediately buy it again.

This kettle is very convenient and heats water very quickly, probably just a couple minutes if only making a large single cup of tea. It doesn't take up a huge amount of real estate on the counter, and I think it looks nice too.There are two things that I don't like about it:1) The lever in the back that opens the lid does not open it all the way. To fill it with water you still have to touch it with your hand and open it the rest of the way. That's fine when it's cold but it's not fine when it's still hot.2) On one occasion when water was heated again shortly after the unit had turned off, the automatic shut-off did not function and it stayed on for a long time until I finally turned it off manually. This is not the norm but it does make me nervous, and I don't trust the auto shut-off. We're typically not going to far though if we are heating up water so it's not a deal breaker.
