Quality item, built well
Easy to use and built well! Sturdy. I like that it comes with different weight coils so I can adjust to get the espresso pull I want. It seems a little expensive but looking at the other similar tampers, it seems on par.

I use the highest spring rate. So far no issues, makes the tamping consistent

Got this for our bambino plus and it’s such a solid upgrade. Works really well and the price is just right. Build quality’s also really nice!

Limited depth when temping 18.50 grams
Doesn’t press deep enough for 18.5 grams of ground coffee beans for a 58 mm basket. I would have to use well over 20 grams in order to get a perfect temp. This design is perfect for me to where I can use my palms and body weight to temp. The extra springs are useless if the depth is limited…the water just pours through with very little froth. I really wanted to like it.

Better than what my breville came with
I love this because the one that came with my machine is so awkward and does not tamp evenly. It does make a difference to have a spring loaded one. Saves more time and clean up. I recommend!

Solid tamper that feels very satisfying to use
Bottom line: It's a nice, solid tamper that feels very satisfying to use.The quality was was nicer than I expected. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality at this price point. Packaging was basic but adequate. Mine came with documentation that describes how to change to different spring rates, which was appreciated. Make sure you measure your measure your basket, 58mm is quite large. Comes with 3 spring options and it doesn't feel cheap.

Changing to 30lb spring....IMPOSSIBLE!!!!!
Mission Impossible:No one can change and compress a 30lb spring with your fingers and seal up...again. Returned!!!!!!

Don’t waste your money
Not a fan of this, travel distance is not enough imo. No matter which spring u use, your filled up filter basket has to be within range of the travel distance. If any of u are thinking that this is similar to gauge temper, it is not. Just pay the premium for true gauge tamper and be happy with it. Don’t waste money on something cheaper which you’re better off with basic tamper.
