Simple Simple Simple
My old QNAP server finally gave up the ghost after 10 years and 3 month. Standing up this server involved moving the drives to the new case and adding to my qnap account. DONE. All the data was safe and secure!.

Hardware good, software bad. The story of QNAP NAS.
Hardware is good with the SFP+ port but the software is written by people who should not be writing citical system software. Corrupted/lost shared folder due to turning SSD caching off while it was unknowingly doing a system snaphot in the background. Super heavy resource usage with virtual switches because the virtual switch code was implemented as a python script. If it wasn't for the SFP+ I would have gone with Synology.
